Luigi Mangione’s Arrest: Suspect in UnitedHealthcare CEO Murder to Enter Not Guilty Plea, according to Lawyer

Luigi Mangione, the suspect in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, has decided to plead not guilty and fight extradition to New York where he is facing murder charges. His lawyer, Thomas Dickey, spoke to reporters stating that he has advised his client to maintain his innocence and not waive extradition.

Dickey emphasized the importance of the presumption of innocence in American justice, stating that he has yet to see any evidence that proves Mangione to be the shooter. He expressed his confidence in Mangione’s innocence and his intention to challenge the charges brought against him in both Pennsylvania and New York.

A hearing on the extradition request has been requested by Dickey and Mangione is scheduled to appear in court for the Pennsylvania charges on December 23. Despite the serious allegations against him, Mangione remains steadfast in proclaiming his innocence and intends to fight the charges through legal proceedings.

As the case against Mangione unfolds, the public will be watching closely to see how the legal process plays out and whether he will be able to successfully defend himself against the accusations of murder.
