New York City celebrated the 4th of July in spectacular fashion this year, with the Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks lighting up the skyline in red, white, and blue. What made this year’s show even more special was that it took place on the West Side of Manhattan for the first time in a decade.
The West Side Highway between Christopher and Washington streets was packed with eager spectators, who arrived early to secure the best seats to watch the 48th annual Macy’s Fireworks display. The show, put on by the world-famous Fireworks by Grucci, was a stunning sight as it illuminated the Hudson River.
For those like Brian and Deborah Sheley, who traveled all the way from Colorado to see the fireworks, the change in location came as a surprise. Expecting the show to be on the East River as in previous years, they had booked a room that ultimately did not offer a view of the fireworks. However, they were not disappointed, as the display on the Hudson River was just as impressive.
Overall, the Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks show was a memorable event that brought joy and patriotism to all those who witnessed it. The New York City skyline glowed with pride as the city came together to celebrate Independence Day in style.
