The Turkish government has cracked down on protests across the country, with over 1,100 people arrested in just five days. The government has accused the protestors of “abusing” their right to protest and has warned against “terrorising the streets”.
The protests were triggered by the detention of Istanbul’s Mayor, Ekrem Imamoglu, who is a vocal opponent of President Erdogan. Imamoglu was detained on corruption charges, which he has deemed as politically motivated. President Erdogan, however, denies any involvement in the charges.
The harsh response from the Turkish government has sparked international concern, with many questioning the government’s commitment to freedom of expression and democracy. The crackdown on protests has raised fears about the erosion of civil liberties in Turkey.
As the situation continues to escalate, it remains to be seen how the Turkish government will respond to the growing dissent within the country. The arrests of over 1,100 people in just five days have only further fueled the anger and frustration among the Turkish population. The world watches closely as Turkey grapples with this latest challenge to its democratic values.

Hi BBC. Please can you read the new educational book called 'The Replacement People of the Bible', and see what the rabbis and priests have been hiding for thousands of years about Prophet Muhammad being prophesied in the Old Testament. Also, how the Muslims got the West out of the Dark Ages, which the Western educational institutions are hiding from people.

At least they done something instead of running away from their country.
Now it's up to Erdogan whether to be humble and step down or continue to the path of civil unrest, but Erdogan is a pride person the civil unrest will be qualm by force and when he die, most turkish will judge him as the worst president who ever lead the economies. At least he somehow cements his legacies into history of Turkey.

Another colour revolution in the making. If Turkiye is not careful, it can spiral into lawlessness and disorder, ripe for foreign directed regime change. We've seen this movie before. Too many times.
Didn't see JD Vance or musk tweet about this.
Putin, Netanyahu, Erdogan Trump, the world is run by dictators right now.
Erdogan is a cruel dictator. He is counting his remaining days in power.
The BBC Report this as if British people aren't jailed for social media posts. The BBC are so so bias and full of propaganda. If the BBC report it then you can deduce that the truth is usually the opposite of what they say. They don't report Starmers authoritarian regime like they report this

Erdagon wants to become caliphate
The courts have become Erdogan’s puppets, like in the Middle Ages, so there is no independent justice — the streets now belong to the people.
Freedom in Turkey is dead.
