Musicians scale Hawaiian volcano following alleged carjacking – Video

California musicians Alex and Justina Lucero found themselves in a terrifying situation while on a trip to Maui, Hawaii. The couple, hired to perform on the island, rented a car to explore the area on their day off. However, their sightseeing adventure took a frightening turn when they were carjacked by a truck driver armed with a gun.

Desperate to escape their attacker, the Luceros found themselves unknowingly climbing up Maui’s Haleakala volcano. Despite the danger they faced, the couple remained brave and resourceful as they navigated their way up the steep terrain.

Their harrowing experience serves as a reminder of the dangers that can unexpectedly arise while traveling, even in a picturesque destination like Hawaii. Thankfully, the Luceros were able to escape unharmed and share their story with Inside Edition’s Jim Moret.
