Great movie!❤😊
FIRST THINGS FIRST, I DONT LIKE WEIGHT LOSS ADS, TOO, TOO MANY IN THIS VIDEO, I FIND WEIGHT LOSS ADS OFFENSIVE.
AS FAR AS THE MOVIE GOES, IT WAS INTERESTING BUT SAD. ITS WORTH A WATCH.
Wow! We usually associate Hammer with monsters. This was a different kind of monster. Surprised they made a film of this nature. Ahead of its time. Excellent film, many thanks for uploading it!!!
This is the consequence of not believing in the words of a child.
Grandma must have a crush on the old man. Ain't no decent grandmother wouldn't respond like she did.
Oh well, shoulda listened 😢
Spoiler alert:
I know this is just a fictional movie, BUT I can't believe that prosecutor let the defense lawyer treat a child that way and re-traumatize her! He should have been objecting all over the place. And he should have let Jean know, in advance, what to expect from the defense attorney long before that trial began.
As if that weren't bad enough, the judge had the gall to chastise Jean's father for trying to protect his little girl?!! I don't know what our legal system was like in the 50's, but I certainly hope that it wasn't as bad as it was portrayed in the movie. I'm glad attorneys aren't allowed to treat child witnesses like that now. I know they'd probably ask the same despicable questions, but at least they aren't allowed to be verbally abusive to children.
Beloved the jury is as nasty as the dirty man.
BELOVED even today this is the state and every minute children are molested.
This was a good movie 🎥🍿🎥🍿🎥🍿🎥🍿🎥 thank you for sharing this with us 😎
The dogs were superb!!!!
The cross examination of the child was the limit for me. I couldn't continue watching.
Wow – never heard of this movie before even though I am familiar with the main actors – Gwen Watford is top notch here. This was one of the hardest movies to watch, and I watch a lot of movies.
An excellent anglo american Hammer production. Carreras was a brilliant producer. Groundbreaking and hard hitting. 10/10
Human nature doesn’t change at all
Oh no, 13 mins in and aaarrggg!! Maybe watching might be cathartic that or I’ll pick up drink after 24yrs sober. 😱 ❤❤❤❤
I’m reading the comments and fear visiting my horrors.
It’s so sad many of us carry such awful scars, nay scars but cuts that never quite heal.
My love to everyone who met the monsters of their childhood ❤
Excellent movie. Thank you for sharing. I really liked it when the father turned the extended job offer down. Saying we are leaving town before we' become infected.
What year is this movie? Ty
Wow. Horrible. How people protect victims. So many children this happens to. I’m glad this is taken more seriously now but still it happens so often
For a low budget movie I thought this film was very well done. Patrick Allen was a very fine actor and should have had major roles in big movies.
Wow! For the time it was made that was incredibly honest in its portrayals. I remember at 7 having a guy from the flat block next to ours expose himself -he was married with kids. I was shocked and scared, too scared to tell my parents because I was worried they might get hurt confronting him. So I kept it inside but from then on, I wouldn't go to the shops for my mother anymore, she thought I was lazy but I was plain terrified! Thankfully we moved months later, but I've always remembered that. Now as a grown woman, I keep my eyes open to any kids who might need some help whatever the cause because they are vulnerable innocents who need to be kept safe by the community around them. Every one of us is responsible.
And stop allowing M-lims from marrying 10 year old girls and their own cousins, producing more congenitally damaged children.
TY ❤
😢😢😢What a sad ending.
The predators still get protection today, because a lot of them either have money or hold titles in their communities. Also, a large majority of men see woman as less than and insignificant. They feel like it’s their manly right to have their way with woman and or child. Men who are like this support other men who do those kinds of things. It’s sad but true. There are some good men out there, don’t give me wrong, but there are a lot, who aren’t. My experience growing up. Funny how the child gets blamed too, just like the beginning of this movie.
What a waste of time😂😂😂😳
Nothing changes even now in 2025 with the PAKISTANI MUSLIM RAPE GANGS and LABOUR covering it for years ?
Good Movie!….but my how people were so backward thinking back then…. I am glad we have come along way, and protect our children much smarter today.
A thought provoking movie. Well cast and acted. Some turning a blind eye because status mattered in the community..sadly in the times we lived in those days. Sending hugs to all those affected by the story.
Pero los niños se trauman cuando los padres les dicen que no confíen en ninguna persona extraña,,y no todos son predador..hay gente que más bien protegen a los demás..Talvez es mejor cuidar bien de los niños sin traumas.
This movie disturbs me. In regards to numerous sick purverts I've encountered personally in my lifetime. Sick men 😣
Great acting by the girls..makes me wonder how they processed what they were being asked to act out at the time.
Sickening lot off victim blaming going on blaming the child like seriously wtf gross 😢😮
Mr Elderberry should have been asked questions.
I was engaged the moment I saw that it was co produced by Hammer Films. The British A24 of its day. They still produce, but rarely and not enough. Check out their full catalog, absolutely brilliant horror and psychological drama.
Children can be made to feel guilty if the parents make them feel so. This is where the crime is. As a 3 year old I was trying to kiss my mother on the lips and she became angry and told me, “you don’t kiss your mother on the lips”. Since than I feel guilty when I think of females and I am 71.
This was a difficult movie to watch. I was abused as a child. Your memory of it fades but you can never forget it. xx
I just wanted to see comments concerning did you like it, was/is it a good movie ?? I don’t want to know your personal life. Really why would you want to put that out there ??? GeeWiz
Biden family?
Women and children have always been objects of abuse. In my gtandmothers time, she told me women were often blamed for being raped, not the rapist.
Yes, thank you for uploading this! And a Hammer production to boot, makes me appreciate even more! Wow, such a current example of what horrifyingly continues today and in a wider scope of abuses. Exampling how all communities, at every level must be held responsible. This includes 'transparency', no more secrets, no further suppression of 'whistle blowers' (especially our little peoples/children including older persons 'remembering' and needing to reveal their experiences. Without continued denial/suppression, further trauma.
