I Became A Trini Chef For A Day 🇹🇹
In this exciting episode, I’m diving headfirst into the vibrant world of Trinidadian cuisine! Join me as I step into the kitchen for my very first attempt at cooking traditional Trini street foods, under the expert guidance of the incredible Anna from Tabanka Trini Kitchen. The pressure is palpable as I prepare to serve hungry Trinidadians eager to taste authentic flavors.
From the art of kneading dough for the perfect roti to mastering the robust flavors of channa, this experience is a whirlwind crash course in Trinidadian cooking. With iconic dishes like doubles and aloo pie on the menu, can I handle the heat and deliver flavors that do justice to the beautiful islands of Trinidad?
Watch as I face the challenges of a bustling kitchen, learn the secrets of these beloved dishes, and feel the thrill of serving real Trini food to eager customers. Will I rise to the occasion or crumble under the pressure? Tune in to find out!

I only fully appreciated our food after travelling quite a bit to other countries and found their food to be a lot less tasty than our own. Thank you for highlighting it. I understand your love for it.

Congratulations, You just need Trinidad citizenship now
Hi David. Your first try at cooking Trini food went well, but you have to do everything from cleaning, preparing and seasoning and then cooking. I'll give you a seven. Would like to see you return for another try. Earn that chef's hat. Nice people, nice food, good ambience. It's always great to hear how much you love Trinidad and Tobago and it's people and to hear you talk about our twin islands wherever you go in your other videos. BTW, liming is when people get together to socialize and hang out and chit chat. Anyway, this was very enjoyable and entertaining. Hope you really return for that second try. Good job and good luck. Mucho amor 💓
