The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has allowed Gazans to return to their homes, which have been devastated by the conflict. Journalists have now been granted access to the area, revealing the extent of the destruction that residents are coming back to. Many are facing the heartbreaking reality of their homes being reduced to rubble, despite the relief of a potential end to the violence. Mike Armstrong provides a firsthand account of the scene in Gaza as residents navigate the aftermath of the ceasefire. The impact of the conflict on the people of Gaza is evident as they rebuild their lives in the wake of the destruction.

Hamas is to blame. They attacked first.
That sad
What a peaceful place.
Cool, start building schools that teach equal rights for all and how to build a country that has happy and healthy citizens. Rewrite your faith books to be better and enjoy life with peace. There is plenty of land to be had around there for your people to grow and be happy.
Only you were finding it hard to believe, ffs. It was a televised genocide…
Cease-fire: A Shameful Double Standard
The recent cease-fire deal starkly highlights the double standards in addressing the oppressor and the oppressed.
1. Is All Human Life Equal?
The disparity in how lives are valued is glaring. Thousands of Palestinian men, women, and children from Gaza and the occupied territories have been abducted at gunpoint, subjected to torture, and detained for years—yet their stories remain untold, their names and faces unseen. Meanwhile, three Israeli hostages receive a royal welcome, their release celebrated globally. One Israeli hostage appears to be worth dozens of Palestinians in the eyes of the world, as Palestinians are taken in thousands without the same outcry. This is not just inequality; it is a profound injustice.
2. Killing Palestinians Without Consequence
While cease-fire negotiations were being finalized, Israel continued bombing Gaza, killing families with impunity, without shame or scrutiny from Western media. Even after the cease-fire came into effect, more civilians were killed under the pretext of punishing a delay in releasing the names of hostages. In contrast, Gazans did not retaliate with bombings when Palestinian detainees were not immediately released. This is not a war; it is one-sided killing. The silence surrounding these atrocities speaks volumes about the double standards at play.
3. Starving Humans as a Weapon of War
For the first time in modern history, humanitarian aid has been weaponized, made conditional on a cease-fire. Basic necessities such as baby formula, food, water, and fuel have been withheld from Gaza’s besieged population. For decades, Gazans have lived behind barbed wire, surviving on rationed supplies of essential resources. To further punish them for resisting occupation, electricity, water, and fuel were cut off entirely. Starving children to death, bombing hospitals, and denying humanitarian aid are all considered fair in this one-sided conflict. This is not just unjust; it is inhumane.
The glaring double standards in this cease-fire deal are a stain on the collective conscience of humanity. The lives of the oppressed are devalued, their suffering normalized, while the oppressor’s actions go unchecked. It is a shameful reminder of the world’s selective empathy and justice.
Why did you not mention anything about the Israelis that were brought back? Why did you act like the Palestinians were the victims? Perhaps you should start telling the whole truth and not just a tiny bit of your truth.
Israel should have to pay for them to rebuild
Please God help them
😢😢😢😢❤❤❤❤🤲🏼🤲🏼🤲🏼
This should be called global liberal news from Montreal. It’s only one-sided.🤬

How about an interview with the victims of October 7 or the hostages the hamas took back to gaza
Leftist activism portraying the attackers as victims.
🇮🇱💪🏻
Inshallah PALESTINE will be free from river to the sea 🇵🇸❤️✌🏽🇨🇦
Kindly ask your people to move back to Gaza from all western countries. We think they would be very grateful to help you out. Hope everything stays in peace and you won’t fire anymore missiles into Israel! Please learn to live in GAZA and keep your people in Gaza as well!!
😢😢Salute for these people
❤ Alhamdulillah ❤ Allah hu Akbar ❤🇰🇼🇧🇩
"Israel has killed more than 18,000 children in Gaza" – The Associated Press
Trump is the president of peace.
Why don't you report how many hostages actually survived? No media ever reports this.
Your bias against Israel and intentional neglect to tell both sides of the story here, which is strongly evident in both your "so-called reporting" and your title, is absolutely disgusting. You do a massive disservice to journalism/broadcasting and should be ashamed of yourselves individually and as an organization. You are bigoted, hateful liars willfully spreading disinformation to propagate hate towards Jews/Israel. How do you sleep at night?
Sure hope Gaza gets rid of Hamas and get leadership that will serve the people and develop their land and shores for economic prosperity.
How can someone get away with doing this to a nation?
they voted for hamas and by extension voted to extend the war and turn down 2 ceasefires
❤❤❤
I hope they are allowed to rebuild and be free
I feel so bad for them!!! I really want to help them, but I am poor . I will continue to pray for them! 😭
My heart aches for these people. Israel must be held accountable and pay for the reconstruction. Shame this can happen in 2025. When we can work together and be prosperous 😢
The world still blames Israel. The news is still slanted that way though Hamas started this. God Bless Israel. God Bless Palestinians in Gaza.
it’s closer to 90% destroyed
Womp womp
Why would they return when the cease fire is for six weeks.
Give the hostages back and stop whining about something you started. Israel should be considered a partner against a common enemy, Hamas.
H is still there. No POWs were freed by force. No Palastenians were moved to Sinai. Port of Eilat has gone bankrupt. Israel is forced to release 30 palastenian hostages for every Israeli POW. Ben Gigi resigned and Yoav Gallant is wearing his pijamas at home. What an embarraing defeat for Israel LOL.
War makes me mad!!!
Home is gone. But they still call it home.
