You might want to check out Rincon de Guayabitos. We are just north of Lo de Marcos 15 minutes. It’s a very popular beach town that caters to national tourists mostly from Guadalajara. Big families and loads of inexpensive accommodations. The town right next door is La Peñita and that is a working town with a beautiful main avenue and plaza. On Thursday we have a marketplace in the plaza and we close down an entire street. It’s a true working market, mostly artisan crafts, essentials, food, drinks clothing, plants…we have lived here full time for 7 years.
You should be walking on the malecon in Havana.
Thanks for your awesome content throughout this year. Lots of education, inspiration and entertainment. I wish you a merry and blessed Christmas.
The clubs are scams never again lol go and you’ll see 😅
Mens clothing in Mexico is way more expensive than it is here in Wyoming. We've got a Marshalls here that sells very good quality clothing for 80 and 90 percent off the original retail price.
I've been to pretty well every corner of Mexico, but never to Puerto Vallarta (or anywhere else on the Pacific coast apart from Acapulco). Need to get out there sometime and do some exploring. The closest I got to PV was Guadalajara, but didn't head to the coast (I was a poor 18 year old at the time).
those shirts would be $2 in Vietnam
Building on what happens after you decline the conversion rate at the ATM, your bank card will charge the rate to the amount that is taken from your debit or credit card in your local currency.
For example, if you are at a Mexican ATM and are withdrawing 2,000.00 MEX for 100 USD from your bank card, then you will be charged 100 USD + the processing fee (charged by the ATM, usually a few dollars) + 2.5%. So that could be $100 + $2 + $2.5 = $104.5.
Banks in Western countries usually charge 2.5% to convert your currency to the local currency, and this rate is PEANUTS compared to FX money changers that charge 5% to 30%. All you need to do is decline the FX conversion, and you are golden.
Also, many debit/credit machines, around the world now, ask you if you want FX conversion or local currency when you are buying a coffee, paying for a meal at a restaurant, paying for a hotel, etc. ALWAYS decline. Because their FX conversion rate will be something ridiculous like 5% to 30%.
Watch out, I just got robbed in Mexico in my hotel room. Two people came into my room and forced me out and took my stuff. Mexico is dangerous.
You're going to like a tourist who got ripped off
so lucky, mexican food is my 2nd favorite food after indian 😁
I feel like I’m on holiday watching this, love your new shirts and hat. Thanks for the great shopping tour, reminds me of shopping in Bali. Great looking food and cocktails. Great tips on money conversion. Love the outro music, so soothing with the beautiful sunset. Cheers🍹
Looks very relaxing. Great place to chill! 😎
Dude this is just too much. It’s like the tourist zone of all tourist zones
The best and cheapest way to get to Yelapa is the hop on the orange bus to Boca de tomatlan then grab a taxi boat there for about 6,00usd. 25.00usd is way too expensive!!!
9:00 – you are way more patient with the touts than most people
7:24 Nice shirt & wow magic;
Hello gabriel, it's good that you returned to México, it's your home too
How about heading further south, hitting up Argentina, Chile. Looks like nice Temps down that way. I was gonna suggest southeast Asia but I think it's the wet season there now
Kinda taking my mind away from the bitter cold here in NY state
We’re in Cabo. Got scammed by Avis in San Jose del Cabo. Offered me $500 off my car rental to eat breakfast at a new golf time share. Added rental I did not need over what Mexico requires. It took going through three Avis ‘representatives’ before we reached the rental place. People in San Jose were fabulous. Avis, not so much.
What is the tall metal structure on the pier?
British pound here on wise i'm getting 25/26 pesos to £1! its better to exchange with wise to local currency then withdraw from cashpoint, only £1 fee. best way.
I love Puerto Vallarta. Haven't been in a long time. Btw, Gabriel, you should do an AMA video sometime soon.
Never been to mexico but $30 for a shirt sounds like a scam
Yum.. that dinner and music at the end. Amazing.
Don't drink the water !what a s*** hole
What do you think about the "danger travel" genre that has sprung up in recent years? YouTubers literally risking their lives for views–hanging out in shady neighborhoods, going to war zones, getting sent to prison, etc. I personally like your relaxing travel style as it seems more authentic and less contrived just as clickbait. That being said, the views do tend to be more limited in your genre.
Welcom to mexico gabriel traveler 😊
Hey Gabriel, this is the most amazing, vibrant and happy place. I love your new shirts and all the art and the murals and of course the dining tables and chairs right on the beach. I thank you and wish you a very Merry Christmas.
Cool music ❤
Gabriel shows the scams the problems of real world. Good. But where does real Gabriel goes when times comes to show the shithole zombie towns of usa. The homeless poor and struggling whites of America. Doesnt have the balls to show. Egypt poor. OK. Mexico poor. OK. But why not show America poor. That's what Americans do. Their fart don't smell. First built a wall inside ur own country then across the borders. Never can't find a flaw in America. But Egypt is dirty. India is poor. Mexico gangs. And America all saints.
Wow, that is a huge scam on the conversion, in Thailand it shows you the price they charge as 220 baht, which is presently $6.43, nothing like what they are charging in Mexico.
😃👍🏻
Puerto Vallarta is muy touristy. Suyalita is muy bien, gracious! It has a much better bohemian vibe.
Mate fly from PV to Auckland. It’s summer here but not too hot
Wow! $25.00 USD for tickets? Should be around $7.00. You got ripped off. CANADIAN curency as of December 2024 is 14.2 That sign there said 12,
When was this filmed?
Change at banks not random kiosks or OXO..😮
touristy price for your meal
Really didn't care for the malceon, but i knew that going in. i merely was a tour guide for my family.
