Tragedy struck in Philadelphia on Friday night as a plane carrying a seriously ill young girl, her mother, a doctor, a paramedic, as well as the pilot and co-pilot crashed near a shopping center, killing all six individuals on board. The air ambulance, operated by Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, was on its way back to Mexico with the young patient who had undergone life-saving treatment in the US.
The young girl had been sponsored by a charity to receive medical care in the United States and had been fighting to survive. Unfortunately, the journey back home ended in tragedy as the aircraft exploded, causing nearby homes to catch fire.
According to Shai Gold, a spokesman for Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, the young patient had completed her treatment in the US and was on her way home to Tijuana when the crash occurred. The Mexican foreign ministry confirmed that all six individuals on board were Mexican citizens.
This heartbreaking incident serves as a reminder of the risks faced by those who require medical transportation and the dedicated professionals who provide these services. The thoughts and condolences of many are with the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in this tragic plane crash.
