The same resistance happened against the electric guitar, auto-tune etc. AI music is going no where. Its better to embrace it. Stop swimming against the tide. People first enjoy a good song. They dont usually care how it was produced. Come to think of it. Before now almost every song was "manufactured" in a studio using different "software and machines" that mimic actual musical instrument. Whats the big deal about doing the same with a prompt plus a good lyrics?
Artists are already struggling, there's no place for fully AI generated music. Anyone who thinks otherwise is either making AI music or has monetary incentives from it.
Get rid of AI artist and just focus on Ai as a tool. Ai searches to make sure your lyrics/song are unique. Ai already helps the producers making music but it should not be made by only Ai
Honestly i wouldn't touch Spotify with a ten foot pole.
Love how he danced around the Velvet Sundown question. Another youtuber already showed that the guy used thousands of bot streams after release until enough contraversy was created to drive organic listens from curious humans.
Speak speed…😅…
No artist is excited about AI this guy is delusional 🤨
Such an amazing interview, nice to see a host who really understands the subject & love the way you covered AI's influence on music without demonizing it.
As a former Sony Music recording artist, I have seen the way labels are already jumping on AI. It is not about replacing creativity, but supplementing the toolkit, just like when drum machines or autotune first came out.
I use AI mainly for samples or guide tracks to help me practice harmonies and melodies, it even helped inspired my cover of John Lennon's 'Imagine'.
Nice to see Spotify embracing artistry over stifling it. If Kristin or Billboard is ever looking for a hidden gem, look no further, I'm your guy. lol Hey you never know till you take the chance, right?
