When you go to Taipei you must eat some soup dumplings and beef noodle soup. Best I have ever had!!
Gabe – You are very close to one of Taiwan's greatest highlights, Alishan. It has mountains, forests, hiking and nature at its greatest; everything you love. Give it an exploration if you are able. Thanks.
One of my fav cities in Taiwan. We rented a car and drove around the island. Such a polite and welcoming country enjoy. I actually felt the culture there was more Japanese than Chinese in many respects.
Really grabs to go along with you thru this town! Thank you!
We tour in the fall of 2024. This city is one of our favorites.
Very nice city, very relaxed atmospere. I hope that any possible future geopolitical issues and controversies regarding Taiwan can be resolved in a peaceful manner.

The "little oven" is a place where paper offerings are burned. Not for cremation.
Hi Gabriel, Colonial history throughout the world is fascinating. The Dutch were in many places, including New York. For centuries, the French were in Algeria and Vietnam, and the Spanish and Portuguese were in Latin America. The colocalization was portrayed in the series Shogun, which featured British and Portuguese traders, the religious Christian influences of Protestants and Catholics, and the conflicts that were involved.
1:54 Joss paper (fake/spiritual money) burner … for offerings to ancestors and stuff!!!
Meal looks awesome at the end.

Hi sir Gabriel, I’m just passing by at your channel and quite impressed by your list of visited countries and your footage. I'm amazed that there is even a video of Leiden among your list, a small town in the Netherlands where I live nearby and spend a lot of times in. Interesting to find out there is fort Zelandia in Taiwan. Greetings from The Netherlands.
I'm wondering if those jets you were hearing were Taiwan's response to China's current activities. Enjoying your travels.
