Hi Dr. Berg….Off topic question: My husband and I have been taking the Olive Oil, Honey and lemon juice before bedtime nightly…is that the best time of day to do this or is the morning better? Also is it 1 tsp Olive Oil and 1 tsp honey with a few drops of lemon correct? Thank you. Joanne

Dr Berg, regarding the question about quitting sugar, is it true you have microbes in the gut that adapted to being feed sugar and when you quit cold turkey, it’s the microbes causing the cravings until they die off? Thoughts?

If you don’t want sugar withdrawal, do the add more veggies & fruits with fiber to your plate- these should make up half the plate. You don’t need rice or white starch. Just leave that off. More protein helps, of course but it’s the fiber that slows down digestion and keeps your blood sugar from going crazy (which makes you crave sugar).
