That is so cool that the direwolf is back but exactly the same thing happening right now two other predators is going to happen to this one the reason why wolves are going extinct is people don't understand the animal was just trying to survive and a predator has the hunt and kill so a predator attacks a person people go hunted down to kill it because it attacked the person the predator attacks livestock exactly the same thing happens Lego haunted dolls to kill it the same thing happens to the animals that we bring into our lives are dogs a lot of them are misunderstood and people shouldn't have them like reptiles there are people that should not have them it's just human nature an animal hurts a human it must be eliminated because people don't understand and I don't remember where I heard this from but this describes a human to a t we are nothing but horny violent apes that is a human in general
dire wolf before gta6 😅😅😅😅
This is pretty cool, but I don’t like that these men think they have the power to play God! Life can only come from the Creator! Period. Romans 1:20-21 says “Since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.” That’s my opinion on it.
Pretty interesting video with the proximity with Colossal!
STOP FALLING FOR THIS MARKETING SCAM!!!. This is NOT a Dire Wolf, that is Genetically Induced Gigantism. Dire Wolves aren't even related to Gray Wolves, they are actually more closely related to jackals and African wild dogs than Grey Wolves. It infuriates me how many people are falling for this without looking into the facts and realizing how scummy this is.
Why did they name one Khaleesi?
I wasn’t expecting him to be supportive of this. I didn’t really know what to think about it at first but if it will help with animal conservation, then I guess it’s okay.
That shirt is sick
To say we’re not gonna have a Jurassic Park scenario after bringing back an extinct 10,000 year old animal is not the way to start in the intro. If they’re able to bring back this Dire Wolf and then a Wooly Mammoth, what makes you think they’re gonna stop at that? I fear they’ll mess up in the lab and cause some type of mutation. For example, World War Z. Everything we see in movies in secondary. It could happen. Chaos always finds a way. 🤔
So many children, Dire wolves are closer to African jackals than grey wolves, These are modified grey wolves, Colossal created a genetically modified grey wolf
I think this is cool in terms of biology but within conservation I don't really think this makes a difference. The main cause of extinction is habitat loss by humans and until that gets under control no amount of de-extinction will realistically work considering if you put those animals into their uninhabitable habitat they will just die off again. I think this whole thing is diverting the focus of what actually will make a difference in preventing extinctions, which is preserving habitat and preventing climate change. It is nice to know that its possible to bring back biodiversity but we should be focused on preserving it in the first place. No hate to coyote btw and I enjoyed the video, these are just my thoughts on the whole scenario.
I wouldn't mind more videos like this!
Bring back the T-Rex
Changing the grey wolfs ear/fur color and calling it a dire wolf don't make it TRUE 💀
Designer Grey wolves, not dire wolves.
Wolves deserve many pets and belly rubs. They're amazing creatures who really made an impact on our early ancestors given dogs today.
These wolves will require military level security. I hope that they understand this. If someone steals one of these dogs, it's over.
So happy to know more about this! I really hope you get the chance SOON to see the three dire wolf pups. I notice that some people still might not agree that they're dire wolves. It's important to keep in mind that in our world (forget about any movies haha), it's pretty much impossible to bring back any species that has been extinct without using another species.
Thankfully, this is what's possible for humans to de-extinct a species. Using a surrogate that is a close relative to a dire wolf and modifying the DNA to make it as much of a dire wolf as possible is how we do it. Remember, it's only the beginning and there are million more dire wolf genome/DNA information they could add. Later, we would be able to bring wolf pups that are much more of a dire wolf than the 3 dire wolves in the present.
I know some of you might be disappointed that it's not fully dire wolves (I completely understand) and that it has something to do with an existing wolf species that's different from dire wolves BUT… the fact an extinct animal with pumping blood and functioning organs is ALIVE… Not just one but THREE, wow. I'm sure there's going to be more de-extinct animals coming soon, possibly this year!
De-extinct my a$$
They just genetically modified wolf DNA to create something phenotypically similar to a dire wolf
This is extremely cool, but these are not dire wolves
I think this is amazing. But more importantly why don't we become better more responsible humans and actually share and take care of this place we call earth !
Cute Wolves I liked this video Coyote, Mario & Crew yes!!!!👍😅
They did not revive a direwold. It is not a direwolf. It is a modified grey wolf. At BEST its a synthetic species (huge achievement major kudos) but its not deextinction
We're not going to have packs of dire wolves running around, they're going to all be on an expansive ecological preserve… kinda like Jurassic Park!
They aren’t dire wolves. This is incredibly disappointing.
THIS IS GREAT!!!!!!🙏🏾👏🏾👍🏾💪🏾🎉
Wait wait wait. I need you to elaborate on the all dogs are wolves 😅
they need stop play god
Great video, more people should see this specially the ones saying its "just a modified grey wolf" explanation was clear as day
When they find a frozen dinosaur then maybe they could make a comeback
I get the whole de-evolution, but what does that do to the current, ecology of the other species and not forcing them in to extinction?
The dire wolves almost look like they have a main like a lion it’s super interesting!
This really made me lose respect for this channel. Doing a straight up commercial for these guys regurgitating their misinformation is just disappointing. Really made me see you guys for what you are.
I don’t think people are scared to have predators brought back. I think the question is just WHY lol. Out of all the extinct animals why the dire wolf ?? Why after thousands of years ?? Why a carnivore ??
The Impossible has become possible 👍🔥
Coyote the Dire Wolf isn’t even a wolf it’s a horse sized jackal, kinda like the golden jackal being a wolf. The fact they thought they should use wolves and not jackal from the misconception of a name proves they’re just doing this simply because they can. Consequences will happen as a result Nathaniel.
Coyote to be the first human in 10,000 years to take a bite from dire wolf??
It’s not a dire wolf, it’s a gray wolf modified with traits that the company believes the dire wolf may have had. They’re presenting it like it’s a clone which it’s absolutely not.
I'll be honest, as much as we would all love to see dinosaur be made de-extinct, not only is it harder to do than mammals, but also dangerous.
Even if dinosaurs weren't actually as vicious as we see in movies, something as big as a rex would definitely remove humans from being the tippy top of the food chain and being dominant apex animals. And then theres the sauropods…yes, they were vegetarians but something so colossal could easily step on a car, person, or even small building.
So to be completely honest i think in terms of de-extinction for dinosaurs, humanity's safest option would probably have to be something small like a small raptor or something very closely related to birds like archaeopteryx or Microraptor
Trump is using this example as an excuse to take away endangered species protections now.
I heard about the DIRE WOLVES being brought back, but it didn't even faze me because I wasn't sure if it was real until now.
We really are starting to live in a scifi world and it's crazy.
The surrogate mother is not a wolf it’s some dog it’s a dog with a few dire wolf genes added in. Ion care a dog and a wolf are not the same thing very similar genetically but still very different
