The Humanoid So Real They Had to Cut It Open | What The Future
In a striking new video from What The Future, reporters explore Xping’s latest creation: Iron, a humanoid robot that has sparked debates worldwide about its resemblance to humans. Xping, a notable Chinese electric vehicle company, aims to make robots that not only mirror human movement but also evoke emotional familiarity. At a recent demonstration, Mashable reporter Amanda Yo had the chance to interact with Iron first-hand, noting its soft, flexible skin and life-like proportions.
The internet buzzed with speculation when Iron was unveiled, with many convinced it was simply a person in costume, leading the CEO to dramatically cut it open to prove its authenticity. Iron’s design, featuring wide hips and other human-like features, raises intriguing questions about comfort and acceptance in human environments. Xping believes that by crafting robots that feel emotionally acceptable, they can foster quicker adoption in various sectors.
With Iron’s autonomous abilities and astonishing realism, the line between human and machine blurs more than ever. This exploration challenges viewers to consider their feelings about humanoid robots—whether they invoke curiosity, discomfort, or a mix of both. Iron may very well be a glimpse into our future with humanoid robotics. What are your thoughts on this evolving technology? Let us know!

In Detroit: Become Human… people shop for androids and consider how they look and their gender, so they are scarily probably making the right business move here
If you want to get the technology adopted more quickly, make them fuckable. Straight up, that's my best advice.
I would love to have one when the bots are able to be sexually active.
If everyone had a robot at home, it would end crime. No one would want to break into anyones house anymore. Unless the burglar was a robot itself of course..
There'll be an even larger decline in birth rates in some countries as more people seek artificial companionship. And these artificial companions could also look after you into old age.
Evolution has shown the human form is really good as a multitasker. If we are designing a robot to clean the floor and only clean the floor then custom build it for that task. If however we want robots that multitask and are mobile then the human form seems to be a pretty good one as shown by nature.
Say goodbye to human partners…
East gets it right again. Feminists never gonna allow western robots like this.
But is it any good at ironing clothes?😂
Chinese spyware
Nope! I’m fine with WALLe
Make me one that looks like Megan 2.0😅
Number #1 spy, here they come.😢
why is not amanda talking
I think it is very amazing and fun.
Chinas out here building T600’s
Haters will still insist it's a human inside or is ai generated
So, we finally have Real Motoko Kusanagi, i'm in love with this 😍
1:25 y'know you could've just said "more specifically, how feminine it looks" and you would've gotten the same point across….
The clothed robot motion is different from the peeled one so that is a human in a suit
battle bot. top models of each company!!
I'm still skeptical about their so-called proof video. Could be a prosthetic leg. Show me actual proof, robot without clothes, wires showing, then I'll believe. I'm excited for this though. Robots and androids have always fascinated me. Make them with advanced A.I. so they look and act human. I'm definitely going to buy one. But, then again, hasn't Terminators skynet or the British show Humans taught us anything.
Amazing. Iron makes Optimus look like a paste-eater.
Their face looks like Apple VR Headset
It was clearly a person. To prove otherwise you’d have to remove the skin from both arms and both legs , and while you’re at it, the head too. notice that ALL other clips of this robot without the fabric covering don’t walk with the same range and ease of motion. That says something. this was a hoax.
How come motion smoothness of "clothed" robot is different from the "naked" one? Or was it just human with leg prosthetic on the stage? Show us the skeleton walking as smooth and natural as the "clothed" one and no questions will be asked. Until then, it's a BS category.
I find them scary.
😂😂 Fake. The CCP is lucky to be 10 years behind the rest of the world. All the CCP can do is copy, steal and reengineer other countries technology.
