Toyota Prius Plug-In Nightshade: Sporty Hybrid With a Dark Edge
The 2026 Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid makes a striking return with a fresh twist—the new Nightshade edition. Transforming perceptions, this sporty hybrid now flaunts unique 19-inch black alloy wheels and bold blackout trim that elevates its appeal. While the name has shifted from Prius Prime to Plug-In Hybrid, the vehicle retains its core efficiency and performance characteristics.
Underpinning this sleek model is a robust 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motor generators, delivering a harmonious 220 horsepower. This powertrain enables impressive acceleration, achieving 0 to 60 mph in just under seven seconds. The Priu’s larger 11 kWh battery allows for an electric range of approximately 45 miles. After that, it seamlessly transitions into an efficient hybrid, boasting fuel economy of 48 to 52 mpg.
With a starting price of $34,970, the 2026 Prius Plug-In Hybrid offers a competitive option in today’s market, appealing to those teetering on the edge of the electric vehicle revolution. Ergonomic design, ample cargo space, and tech features like a 12-inch display make this car not just practical, but also enjoyable to drive. Get ready to rethink the Prius—you might just find yourself smiling as you stroll away from it!

Don’t buy hybrid or EV from company that don’t believe in saving the environment.
Good car 🚘🎉🎉🎉
Yota ends Tesla if they make a Prius EV. It'd probably get 150 MPGe with a 450 mile range.
Wow! Taxi 🚕 🚕!!
this looks better than ferrari
At 3:43 did you mean to say wired and wireless connectivity?
Debadge it. 90% of people will have zero idea it's a Toyota.
That looks like it could be the bumblebee addition

This new Prius is so dang cool-looking! I hope they have a fully electric Prius in their sights; it would be a killer car.
I would of preferred if it was awd.
This is the Prius that should have been introduced in 2017. I would have zero complaints with my Prius Prime (2017) if it were this model. 2026? Nah, only full BEV is on my radar now. The Prius Prime training wheels are off and it is clear I don't need gasoline in my life anymore (oil & filter changes, gas stations, gas car annoyances).
Where is Tom Cooley?
Come on dude… We want Bridget Beautiful Carey come on….
I’ve owned several generations(2,3,4) of brand new Prius and I stopped buying them with this generation(5). The previous generation(4) verged the line on “sport” while losing its practicality. The best generation was for daily driver was the fourth, no doubt. It was a great daily driver for the time.
The Prius looks awesome in this latest generation, Toyota nailed it 🤟
Yo, this gone look crazy with a bodykit , someone design and build a bodykit for this car.
