Will Russia, Turkiye, and China Provide Support to Iran?
In a precarious geopolitical landscape, the ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran have reached a boiling point, raising questions about the involvement of global powers. Israel’s relentless campaign against Iran, primarily targeting its nuclear ambitions, has been described as an existential threat by Israeli officials. In response, Iran has launched a series of retaliatory operations, escalating the conflict further.
This volatile situation not only threatens to destabilize the region but also presents a complex dilemma for major global players: what role can China, Russia, and Turkiye play in defusing the crisis? Each of these nations has publicly condemned Israel’s actions, yet they maintain nuanced relationships with both Tehran and Tel Aviv.
China and Russia, both significant actors on the world stage, are navigating a delicate balance. Their economic and political ties with Iran complicate their relationships with Israel, creating a unique opportunity for mediation. But can these countries leverage their influence to achieve a resolution?
In this episode of Inside Story, host Adrian Finigan engages with a panel of experts to dissect these pressing questions. Barin Kayaoglu, an authority on American Studies, provides insights into the regional dynamics and how Turkiye could position itself as a mediator. Glenn Carle, a former CIA officer, analyses the strategic interests of the United States and how they intersect with the actions of global powers. Nikolay Surkov from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations examines Russia’s strategic calculus and how it might use its position to broker peace or further its own interests.
As the conflict rages on, the broader implications for Middle Eastern stability loom large. Will the involvement of Russia, Turkiye, and China herald a shift in dynamics, or will tensions continue to escalate? The answers could shape the future of Iran, Israel, and the entire region.
Join us as we explore these critical issues, unravel the complexities of international relations in the Middle East, and examine the potential pathways toward peace amid an increasingly dangerous standoff.

If the world doesn't interfere with their conflict by arming israel we will have a clear winner really soon iran doesn't need any support from any other country its nothing short of a miracle how much iran has developed especially its defence given the max pressure sanctions it has been under for decades
I think they should, remember the great America lost a war with the taliban and Vietnam. They aren't as scary as they made themselves out to be.
You wanted 'pressure' on Russia. Well here it is. Could be more pressure if allies assist Israel in completely breaking Iran. Where's your eagerness to protect western hegemony now u.k.?
If they provide support they know US, UK, France, and all NATO countries (except Turkeye) support Israel. All of a sudden WW3😮
Israel is a terrorist state,, Israel is not a country
only pakistan have the expertise to deal with these weopens effectively we all saw what pakistan did with israeli dronnes launched from indiia, and the french and russian jets, were done and dusted from 200km away,
Freedom, justice to Palestine, Iran. ignore paid, hasbaraa bots and trolls
I don't think Türkiye can give military aid to Iran, but Iran may need humanitarian aid if these strikes continue
All evil men are not Great than God, Israel🇮🇱 will over come all this gathering. Israel have no other choice
Who is this guy? Doesn’t know anything 😂😂 😂
The sheep of the world are the pawns of Lucifer, Israel is the synagogue of Satan as Jesus Christ called them
Yes Yes they WILL
Russia won’t do anything. They can barely support their operation in Ukraine. Moreover, they have a deep tie with Israel. China may be but they think of what they can profit from this? Plus they have deflation problem at home.
I think it's a bit too late, Iran is done. Their military production is gone, their refineries are gone… Now it looks like US and UK will help with the defense of Israel and Israel has free reign over Iran air space and they can do whatever they want… Maybe one good thing that could come out of this is that Iran changes their regime and gets a less fanatical government and also that Russia stops getting drones and missiles to bomb Ukraine. Let's see what happens, but i think Iran is done for
Freedom, justice to Palestine, Iran.
And Pakistan 🇵🇰
If so then time the US provides as much support it can muster.
Nah
Short answer no. Long answer no.
Russia, China, Turkiye should support Iran.
But why should they. Let Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi, Egypt, turkiye, and other Muslim countries support. But they hide their tails between legs. 😅
No chance any if these countrys will get involved with iran, cowards, all of them. Weak leaders, weak nations, weak people.
Peace and victory will not come by historical, but by practical can be !
Russia can't help it's self, Turkey is in NATO and is unlikely to get involved, China will provide support in exchange for predatory deals.
Russians and Chinese are scared of the west and will never help their ally in this war.
The US Thaad system has not stopped Iran from hitting Israel. If it did there would be big problems. Not that Iran is in the strongest position, but they could emerge from this, especially if they have a good quantity of missiles with greater payloads.
What about Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Egypt? Ahhh, I forgot, they are Arab cowards
Man, nothing is going to happen. They will not help, unfortunately.. I think we are all tired of this one place, which is not even a real country. They cause so much trouble time and time again. Attack country after country. They all condemn everything they do, but never show any action.
Are you joking about Turkey?
