Young Thug Thinks This Artist Should Be on Billboard’s Best Female Rappers List

Young Thug seems to be taking issue with Billboard‘s Best Female Rapper’s of All Time list, questioning why the list left off his girlfriend Mariah The Scientist.

On Wednesday (April 9), Akademiks reposted a ranking of Billboard‘s list, which was topped by Nicki Minaj. The Billboard staff compiled our picks for the 25 best female rappers of all time using the following criteria: body of work/achievements (charted singles/albums, gold/platinum certifications), cultural impact/influence (how the artist’s work fostered the genre’s evolution), longevity (years at the mic), lyrics (storytelling skills) and flow (vocal prowess).

Thugga slid into Ak’s comments, writing: “Where Mariah at tho [thinking face emoji],” referring to his longtime partner.

Thug and Mariah have been openly dating since at least 2021, as Mariah notably supported Thug during his long RICO Trial in 2022. The Atlanta rapper was finally released from jail last November, and Mariah couldn’t contain her excitement.

“This s—t is so f—ing unbelievable,” Mariah told the Brooklyn crowd during her opening performance on Latto’s Sugar Honey Iced Tea tour. “Let’s just make it to the end so I can get on this jet because you know what I’m finna do.”

Mariah and Thug celebrated their three-year anniversary last October, but she was denied visitation entry at the time because Fulton County’s visitation system was down.

“I done drove all the way to the motherf—ing jail with my ‘Happy Anniversary’ sign and my Scotch tape and get inside for them to say, ‘The system is down.’ I’m devastated,” Mariah said on social media at the time. “I’m looking cute. I put this ponytail in my head. I done did all this s— and I can’t see my man on my anniversary and I am sad, devastated. That is so crazy … I had to let you in on my trials and tribulations. It’s always some s—, huh?”
