A tragic case of domestic violence has rocked a small town in Mississippi, as 22-year-old nursing student Lauren Johansen was found beaten to death and wrapped in a sheet in the backseat of her car last week. Her father had warned a judge just days prior that if her boyfriend, Bricen Rivers, was let out of jail, he would kill her.
Johansen’s body was discovered mutilated and wrapped in trash bags at the Wolf River Cemetery in Harrison County. Rivers had recently been released on bond after being held for aggravated kidnapping for brutally beating her and holding her hostage during a trip to Nashville in December.
