Too much capitalism. Get a clue or keep catering to corporations and billionaires. When people vote for them tog et tax breaks and their own taxes to get raised, its time to rethink your actual position in this country as a voter
to me the cost of living is too high and underpaid jobs too much congestion housing expenses way too high a lot of factors i want to move too
This is why I love the last three seasons of the show on HBO. The wire the mayor‘s office be juking the stats.
I was born and bread in the lower east side of Manhattan and WILL NEVER LEAVE.
NYC will never die , I feel like there are always a sucker out there that's willing to pay $4500 in rent for a 2 bed room just for their own convenience. For most it's hard to adjust somewhere else , thank god I'm out.
I’m coming to New York a week tomorrow for the first time ever! I’m really excited and have watched all your videos multiple times in anticipation 😂 lol cannot wait 🎉
I moved to the city this year. It was always my dream to live in the city and I don’t regret it. It’s expensive and there are weeks I struggle but I wouldn’t change it. I spent a lot of time growing up in and around Baltimore and there’s nowhere else I’ve felt less safe than there
Cash jordan is a propagandist
As a retired NYPD officer, I can tell you right now NOT to trust the numbers the city gives you. There is manipulation in those numbers.
For Example: Grand Larceny is "1 of the 7 majors." One way a precinct and their command staff make themselves look good is by turning a grand larceny into a petty larceny, which is not counted in crime statistics. They do this by simply stating
"That blow dryer they stole from you is not really worth 1k but 700 bucks"
They do the same type of manipulation with things such as murder and other things. So trust the media and trust your eyes more.
Thanks for being the fact-driven antidote to the dystopian clickbait of Cash Jordan…
New York is being gentrified on a mass scale. It’s not just the poor anymore but the middle class as well. That’s what’s happening. And all these young people renting here, their parents pay the rent. At least that’s the current situation.
I’m subscribing because I can’t watch that other guys money grab. I want an honest take on the city.
Genius move gdot
Thanks for the nuanced take. There is only one NYC, but I'm from San Francisco so I understand some of the issues (and sensationalism).
The New York Post is a garbage news source
You know what? I agree with you because NYC is way too much for us, and I always feel like moving to Florida is way better because NYC has alot of crazy stuff people have to deal with
Nonsense. In the 1970’s the population fell to 7 million. The city was bankrupt and truly in a sorry state. Though things are difficult now NYC is in much better shape financially and culturally. Entire neighborhoods have been rebuilt, Harlem, Williamsburg, Long Island City, and others are coming back like Bushwick, and Ridgewood.
What do you expect from the democrats? You are gonna have to vote Trump but New Yorkers won’t?
New York City used to be a magical place, but it is 4.5 years into COVID and is further suffering greatly without proper leadership. Hopefully, things will improve by the end of the decade.
Living in a railroad room apartment over a butcher shop has always been my dream.
Good Bye!! More room for Me.
Have to stay in NYC. Most of my family is buried here and the cemetery is my next stop too.
Rename new york city to new africa
If people were fleeing then rent prices would be going down not up lmao
Tech companies are laying off It would be a lie that tech companies are growing especially New york city nobody wants to live there
Why does parking matter. In nyc, you have the subway, so limited parking isn’t a big deal
NYC might be expensive to live in, but at least you don’t need a car to live there. NYC might be extension, but at least it isn’t LA where it is both super expensive and you can’t live without a car tjere
Similar thing happening here in Southern California. How many of the deaths on the NYC subway were caused by the nypd?
الحبشي عبد ذليل عند سيده
👏
if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere.
Yes feel free to leave NYC if anyone’s interested 😂😊
Get out of there. You can still "stay" and get out. Go to LI, westchester, Jersey etc. GTFO out of that dumpster fire city.
