Hezbollah, the militant group based in Lebanon, is facing a crucial moment in its ongoing conflict with Israel. The recent deaths of top leaders, including Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, have raised questions about the group’s ability to continue the fight. However, Hezbollah has made it clear that despite the setbacks, it remains committed to its mission.
The Israeli military has confirmed the killing of several soldiers since launching a ground operation in Lebanon. This has led to an escalation of tensions between Hezbollah and Israel, with both sides demonstrating their capabilities on the battlefield. The question now is whether Hezbollah is prepared for a prolonged battle with Israel.
During a recent episode of ‘Inside Story’, experts delved into the current situation in Lebanon and debated Hezbollah’s readiness for a potential long-term conflict with Israel. Sami Atallah, the founding director of The Policy Initiative, emphasized the importance of understanding Hezbollah’s strategic objectives in order to assess its ability to continue the fight. Yezid Sayigh, a Senior Fellow at the Malcolm H Kerr Carnegie Middle East Center, highlighted the complex political and social dynamics at play in Lebanon that could impact Hezbollah’s ability to sustain its resistance against Israel. Joseph Daher, a Visiting Professor at Lausanne University and author of the book ‘Hezbollah: The Political Economy of Lebanon’s Party of God’, provided valuable insights into Hezbollah’s military capabilities and its resilience in the face of adversity.
As Lebanese civilians grapple with the prospect of another war with Israel, Hezbollah will also have to navigate popular discontent and ensure that its actions are aligned with the interests of the Lebanese people. The group’s ability to maintain public support and mobilize resources will be crucial in determining its long-term viability as a resistance movement.
Overall, the debate surrounding Hezbollah’s ability to fight Israel continues to be a complex and nuanced one. As the situation in the region evolves, it remains to be seen how Hezbollah will navigate the challenges ahead and whether it can sustain its resistance against Israel in the face of mounting pressures.

Free Palestine 🇵🇸
Israel is fighting for his survival
Yezid doesn't seem to comprehend the ground situation and tries to misrepresent the resistance.
israel uses america like an ATM
Hezbollah a terrorist group with drug dealers to boast their services 😮
israel uses america like an ATM
Israel is a rogue state.
The third guest seems knowledgeable about geopolitical issues but the first guest almost sounded like a mouthpiece of the establishment but I believe that's not the case, he is simply misinformed because he gets most of his information from the western mainstream media. And if you recall, he used the financial times as a reference.
The clonial settler state couldn't defeat the resistance group back in 2006 when it had little weaponry , how can they defeat them now when it has sophisticated weaponry which it hasn't used?
If Netanyahu takes an other wrong step , Google will not find the map of Israel 😀
As an outsider please explain to me what the axes of evil had done for society as a whole. Have they created anything except weapons
They are too stupid to do anything else. At least Israel has created technology used by every person in the world and made the world a better place
Im still waiting for someone to explain to me how they are going to get re-armed. Let me explain, there's no arms convoys getting through Syria for them, none through Jordan either. The RAF are stationed on Cyprus so nothing is coming through Egypt and the Suez canal. They are completely cut off and isolated so once they run out of munitions, and they will run out.
Its gonna be a complete and utter annihilation, Iran can not rearm them this time and thats why Iran are panicking also.
Israielies : send all american taxes or AIPAC will act against you . Americans : Israiel has right to defend it self .
Isrsiel is a barbaric occupier terrorist group…
The better question to ask , why is Hezbollah dragging the people of Lebanon into a war? Hezbola can't win or can't make Israel stop the war in Gaza? The best thing they can do for themselves is just survive. But what does it bring for Lebanese people?
You guys are amateur's !dont speak if you dont understand!!!!!!
We don’t want shorter answers from the panelists. Make the show longer. I think it’s about time that you did that given all of the extra eyeballs that you’ve garnered in the last year, & deservedly so. That said, it’s the least that you can do. These interruptions by the hosts come off as dismissive & they must be at least somewhat annoying to the guests. As a viewer, I for one, find them super annoying & dismissive. I wouldn’t write this if they didn’t. It’s so unnecessary too because Inside Story is such a long running show, which must mean it’s been successful. So yes, please lengthen the show to at least 45-50 minutes; if not a whole hour. Otherwise, continuing to have these guest interruptions is just plain silly.
I don't see anyone talking about how many policemen died in July-August incident in Bangladesh
