When I was the Queen’s PR, Prince Harry was charming. But with Royal crises, I’m grateful to be out now.

As a former public relations manager for Queen Elizabeth II, I had the privilege of working closely with Prince Harry during his younger years. He was always a charming and affable young man, with a genuine love for his family and a passion for humanitarian work. However, recent royal crises have made me grateful that I am no longer in the midst of the chaos.

The recent drama surrounding Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to step back from their royal duties has put a strain on the entire royal family, and managing the press during these challenging times would have undoubtedly been a daunting task. The constant scrutiny and criticism from the media can take a toll on even the most seasoned PR professionals, and I can only imagine the added pressure of handling a situation as sensitive as this one.

While Prince Harry was always a darling to work with, the tumultuous events of the past year have shown the realities of life in the royal spotlight. As the world watches the drama unfold, I am thankful for the opportunity to have worked with the royal family during simpler times. Though I may miss the excitement of working with such high-profile clients, I am grateful to have moved on to new endeavors and to have avoided the chaos that currently surrounds the monarchy.

As the royal family continues to navigate these challenging times, I can only hope that they find a way to come together and support one another through the turmoil. And for me, I will always look back fondly on my time as the Queen’s PR manager, knowing that I had the privilege of working with some of the most fascinating and iconic figures in the world.
