Howard Lutnick, who serves as the transition co-chair for the Trump-Vance campaign, recently addressed the speculation surrounding the potential appointments of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Elon Musk to cabinet roles in the upcoming administration.
In a video titled “Trump transition co-chair pours cold water on RFK Jr. and Elon Musk landing cabinet roles,” Lutnick dismissed the idea of either individual being appointed to a cabinet position. He suggested that the speculation was unfounded and not in line with the administration’s current plans for the transition process.
Lutnick’s comments come amidst a whirlwind of rumors and speculation surrounding potential cabinet appointments in the incoming administration. Some had speculated that Musk, the founder of SpaceX and Tesla, could be tapped for a role in the administration due to his expertise in technology and innovation. Similarly, there were rumors that Kennedy, a prominent environmentalist and attorney, could potentially be considered for a cabinet position related to environmental policy.
However, Lutnick’s remarks have poured cold water on these speculations, indicating that the Trump-Vance campaign has different plans in mind for the incoming administration. As the transition process unfolds, it remains to be seen who will ultimately be chosen to serve in cabinet positions under the new administration.
