Sonny you have been scratching your 🏀🏀 too much that ur jean is getting discolored at 6:09 😂😂
The reason why boys are not allowed to be among women is because it's believed by doing so, you compromise your masculinity. Boys are raised to be men, protectors and providers. From a tribal perspective men come first, women are nurturers, gardeners, men are hunters and warriors. Typical patriarchal hierarchy that is a custom and is treated with utmost respect here in PNG, especially in the Highlands.
The translations about the "women are dirty" is kinda off.
I met someone some time ago from that region who actually explained it to me.
It's basically that they see women main purpose as bringing offsprings and living with women bring dirty thoughts to the men and make them mental weak. The dirty he said was not physically but the dirty thoughts you have around a woman which led to alot of men not being able yo control themselves.
The word "dirty" was abit out of context.
That was where the whole staying separately originated from.
That’s awesome 👏
What a video something new to know about a tribe of some part of country and different cultures
Also this video shows the difficulty of life of women with deceased husband

Curious, did they women eat any more of the pig or were they only allowed to eat the intestines and blood? 🤔
Great content. Just to clarify though, in PNG when you hear someone call something "sweet" in terms of food, it's a way of saying it's delicious or something like that. It does not literally mean it tastes sweet. Anyways great content, and thank you so much for showcasing a part of Papua new guineas culture. Peace 💯🤝
