I would never drink alcohol in a third world country.
These 4th world countries are DANGEROUS! 😮
Made in China
I used to live in China and when I got there I remember people telling me to be careful about "fake alcohol" that was intoxicating like alcohol but was really some other substance that is not supposed to be consumed, and that you could get severely ill from it. Makes me think this was the same I heard about… Of course, I did still drink alcohol while I was over there.. Just use some common sense: Is it a bar filled with hundreds of expats doing nightlife sort of stuff? Then it's highly unlikely that everyone is being poisoned or that you will be singled out… But is it a sketchy place that is run down and clearly in need of money? Or, are you looking around and noticing you stand out because everyone else there is Asian except you? Maybe find a different place. And also, you should have heightened awareness whenever you are outside of major cities. In Asia, the major cities vs the countryside can be almost like two different countries in terms of law and order and seedy happenings. City is usually safer. Unlike in America, the rich people live in the city, not the other way around, and there are more cops (or any cops), more reputable companies and establishments… Looking at the picture here, that doesn't look like a place you want to go drinking if you're not a local.
Why the hell would you go there
😢😢😢, sending prayers 🙏
she wanted to live like a local and died like that. The bar likely had the bottles for show never expecting someone to buy it and some young and dumb teens came in and threw money. But its insane why isnt that bar being shut down? How did that happen Laos doesnt have a health inspector.
Condolences to the family and friends, deepest sympathy🇨🇦.
Beware of strangers bearing gifts.
This has happened several times in various third world countries.
Any alcohol could be your last drink.
4 months ago there were a few articles written about the diminishing patience locals in Laos, Bangkok and other Southeast Asian countries were feeling towards European vacationers and their unruly, disrespectful behaviour. That snapping point's been reached apparently.
lol
This happens in Mexico a lot, Americans mostly, it's sad and preventable, don't drink in these 3 rd world countries that don't value life.
Someone said you should NOT drink alcohol in 3rd world countries. YES I AGREE and that is why we stopped going to Cuba in 2012. We could see it was getting dangerous and soon after deaths from tainted alcohol started.

Don't visit those countries, they are so dirty.
Be careful going to third world countries
Teenage drinking in a questionable foreign country? There is something wrong with this situation.
it's up to visitors to buy food, beverage from reputable businesses, WOULD anyone in toronto buy food, beverage from an alleyway from some shack vendor in downtown toronto and looks dodgy? All for price of $1 cheap beer or food?
What do you expect going into third world countries 🤦. Why waste your life away visiting these trashy places ! Not worth it. Sorry for your loss my condolences 💐
Terrible news
So many people in the comments who never travelled or only been to Cayo Coco lmao. You guys stay in your resorts then. Asia is an awesome place to visit, great people and food, very safe. Like any place, you have to be careful about a few things; same applies to US, Canada, France, ect it's just that it's different type of dangers. In Asia, the chicken you're about to eat walks around the restaurant; in America, it gives you cancer but hey, don't go to Thailand, USA is so much better! The methanol in alcohol thingy was around when I visited Southeast Asia in 2012, I knew beforehand and took precautions.
Sadly what you expect going to of all places China ! Really , she had methanol poisoning smh, she’s one of 14 ! This is horrendous
I wonder what it was that went into her system
