Border security between Canada and the United States has always been a top priority for both countries, but with the recent political climate and proposed tariffs by U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, the concern over security has reached new heights. The idea of imposing a 25 per cent tariff on all goods imported from Canada and Mexico is not only alarming for the economy, but also raises questions about the implications it may have on border security.
The sheer volume of crossings between the two countries makes monitoring and securing the border a daunting task. With so many goods and people constantly moving back and forth, it becomes increasingly difficult to prevent illegal activities such as smuggling and trafficking. The potential increase in tariffs could further complicate matters, leading to heightened tensions and conflicts on both sides of the border.
In addition to the economic impact of the proposed tariffs, there are also concerns about the strain it may put on resources and manpower dedicated to border security. With limited resources already in place, the added pressure of monitoring and enforcing the new tariffs could stretch thin the agencies responsible for keeping the border secure.
The uncertainty surrounding the future of the Canada-U.S. border security is a cause for concern among officials and citizens alike. As both countries navigate through these uncharted waters, it is crucial to prioritize communication and cooperation in order to maintain the integrity and safety of the border. Only time will tell what the future holds for border security between Canada and the United States, but one thing is certain – the issue is more pressing now than ever before.

And here I was thinking unity was strength, but apparently it's diversity. The diversity of warring tribes is strength.
Razor wire. electrified. Put in place by government asap. Vote for Poillievre to get it done!
Their coming through your country, crossing from your border. How the hell is it not your fault or problem?!?
Hahaha
I wonder what’s being smuggled across this part of the border if people can just walk across they can also bring things with them🤫
Civil war is around the corner baby 😂😂😂
Hollyword Stars ???
It shouldn't be a problem. We are allies having a tough time ousting our dictators, with trump in replacing their incompetent leadership he will further display the incompetence in our liberal/ndp coalition and force canada to whip into shape again.
If canada would protect its own within its borders the us-can border would be secure and yet as open as it always has been.
Do people realize that our border is the the longest border out of any 2 countries in the world? Good luck securing it fully. Trump is a headache step up to that clown. Smh
I'm 51yrs old. $40,000 weekly and I'm retired, this video have inspired me greatly in many ways that I remember my past of how I struggled with many things in life to be where I am today!!!! ❤️
Trudeau: I had bubble gum for dinner!! 😋
Indians?
well ya. gotta lock borders down so folks can't run out when its war time. duh.
hashtag what's it called
then they're going to ask you to fight for them. LOL
Use the military like the United States do theirs
have the USA build a wall between Canada & the USA
They can’t find or stop a huge vehicle from being shipped out of the country how do they expect to stop a person that is hiding in those vehicles.
I would like to cross to USA 🇺🇸 to look for a job. Alberta is broke and a bankrupt province.
We just divide the world daily
So many unhoused…..
Whatever happened to old fashioned observation towers, horses and dogs?
Trudeau sexual assaulted teenage girls but signed an NDA; shame on you Quebec.
We should ask the USA what they will do about guns crossing into Canada. And if we are so incompetent…why does the US have millions of illegals in the US for decades including when trump was in office.
Doesn’t matter how big it is . Secure it all or face tariffs period .
Build the border wall then, Americans will pay for it, not Canadian
Hire mass people that want to secure our border . I know many who would that are unemployed because they can’t find jobs due to mass new comers
this is crazy, and i believe just another decoy for behind the scenes. first of all where is trump these days ? not in public is he ? is he ill & maga is jusy trying to get him over the finish line ? it is not over yet. interesting to see just how usa will patrol the borders from ontario west…ranches & open lands are on our shared borders. drones ? such b.s. i have never seen.
The world must get real and wake up! It is not about borders, drugs or illegal crossings. Those are solved much differently. This is the Trump negotiation strategy…subjugate his trading partners completely, soften them with a stick, then trade & resource rape them and get a better deal for himself and the US. That's what he thinks in that convoluted brain. Trump applies tariffs to create chaos, which he slides through the middle on and gets what he wants. If you don't believe me, ask his former advisors. Once we come to this realization, our strategy to fight this becomes much stronger. Better than right now, being a bunch of scared bunnies heading to the Trump Grinder, which is precisely what this nonsensical "Team Canada" strategy will be, I guarantee. I think you will find that is correct. We will see.
It’s all Indian students whose visas are now expired. You can thank Trudeau for this.
