In the latest development in the ongoing conflict in Syria, Islamist rebels are encircling government-held Damascus in their continued effort to overthrow Bashar al-Assad’s regime. The rebels, who are opposed to the longtime dictator, have launched uprisings on several fronts in an attempt to gain control of key strategic areas in the capital city.
The rebels are reportedly advancing in areas surrounding Damascus, cutting off supply routes and tightening the circle around government forces. This has led to heightened tensions and increased fighting in the region, as both sides struggle for control of the city.
The conflict in Syria has been ongoing for years, with various rebel groups and government forces locked in a bloody struggle for power. The rise of Islamist rebels in recent months has added a new dimension to the conflict, as they seek to implement their own brand of governance in the war-torn country.
The situation in Damascus is becoming increasingly dire, with civilians caught in the crossfire and facing shortages of food, water, and medical supplies. The encirclement by Islamist rebels has further exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in the city, as residents are forced to navigate a landscape of violence and uncertainty.
As the rebels continue their push towards Damascus, the international community is closely monitoring the situation. The conflict in Syria has already claimed thousands of lives and displaced millions, and the encirclement of government-held areas by Islamist rebels is likely to further escalate the already dire situation on the ground.
The world is watching as the fate of Damascus hangs in the balance, with the outcome of the conflict likely to shape the future of Syria for years to come.

Is this going to happen in the states?? Keep tuned to find out
Russia can barely cope fighting at home and Putin regards Assad with contempt.
In my opinion, rebels are nowhere near to achieving a victory that would end the war. It's just the media making an elephant out of a fly. Rebels were able to take a lot of land because government's best troops were positioned in the south, and the border was defended by rookie recruits. As soon as they are repositioned, rebel advancement will be stopped, and both sides will most likely be locked in a stalemate. At the moment, it's all about taking as much territory as possible before that happens to ensure a better position in subsequent negotiations. I find it hard to believe anyone is feeling at this point, especially since no names were provided, and if you look at a map, it's a long way to Damascus.
Biblical ramifications about to be fulfilled.
PUTIN REGIME, ASSAD REGIME, KHAMEINI REGIME MUST LEAVE
Russian bots went real quiet so you see even their bots abandoned Assad 🤣🤣🤣🤣
No one can go up against the USA. no one.
Russia's African allies are sweating.

Putin- "Sorry Bashar, you're on your own I've got my own problems."

May GOD help the people of syria.. one dictator regime is better than many rebel groups b/c this can bring state less nation. people syria have to pray instead of celebrating for regime change.
sounds like a CIA operation to put pressure on Putin.
Basically Al Qaeda has its own country. Wow
News 35 people in with Russian blood in Latakia and another dozen in Tartus have claimed local discrimination and the formation of the Northern Lebanon Republic and will soon announce a referendum on joining Russia as the newest state. Putler says historically the region has always wanted to be Russian and should be welcomed into the motherland if the referendum voting results are favorable. Putler also says he expects the 3 day special operation in Ukraine to be wrapping up soon.
But, but, but Putin has a bomb, and a missile, but, but aren't the rebels afraid of the mighty Russian Navy?! 😆🤣But Lavrov said; and Peskov said, boo hoo boo hoo boo hoo 😭
A regime that cannot defend itself is not a regime.
MSGA !
It's incredible, the Ayatollah troops all ran leaving every holy shrine to their Sunni arch rivals.

Iraq, Afghanistan, Libyan, Syria and so on. US has allowed rulers to be disposed with no plan in place.

"In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way."

I think Assad shouldn't have abused his citizens.
Šta je sa Kinom?Zašto ne zaštiti Siriju?
If they confirm what she is saying that means we going see total collapse in Syria. Syria will then break apart with different ethic groups trying carve out their own little nations.
green flag waving freedom
It amazes me how dictators establish a pattern of oppression, but never recognize that as a sign of failure of leadership.
This is wild how fast this is happening. Glorious Russia will be losing it Mediterranean naval and air bases. Bozos
