Russia fires several ballistic missiles at Kyiv

In a dramatic escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, Russia has launched several ballistic missiles at the capital city of Kyiv. Ukraine’s air force reported on Friday that they had successfully shot down five ballistic missiles and 40 drones in the Russian attack, with an additional 20 drones failing to hit their intended targets.

The missile strike in Kyiv has resulted in injuries reported in the city, adding to the already devastating toll of the war. Despite the ongoing conflict, Ukrainians are trying to find moments of hope and resilience as they look forward to celebrating Christmas.

The situation in Ukraine remains tense as the conflict shows no signs of abating. The international community continues to condemn Russia’s actions and call for a peaceful resolution to the crisis.
