Cool Vision, will you be coming to Nairobi, Kenya?
that was awesome. in the states my great great grand parents owned enough land that when the Calvary needed a place to stay they came though set ate and talked with my elders and then on the southern side the native indians would come to trade and visit.. but while there even though there was hostilities on my great great grandpa's place there was none. funny the stories handed down… while it was a working ranch everyone talked of the place with reverence. and people came as far awy as south brazil to buy horses from my great great grandfather. Thank you slaval that was awesome… on that Farm we call it a Ranch we have everything they have. well except honey badgers but we have badgers and coyotes no hippos but lots of fat cows. So your a sausage who knew hahahah that was cute.
As a Boer, I find it shocking that this Afrikaner is proud of his treasonous grandfather and brags about his British treason medals. Its is exactly like a very rich Russian farming in Donbas, Ukraine, supporting the Kiev government killing his own people. He is very proud that his grandfather betrayed his own nation. Anyone who states that only some Boers were against British rule are rewriting history. ALL the Boers / Afrikaners HATED the oppressive British rule. Just think for yourself how bad the British were for the Boers to leave their farms in the Cape Colony, risking their lives in a dangerous hostile Africa to build a homeland and build new farms with blood sweat and tears, if they were happy with British rule. No only a hand full of rich traitors like the British. And don't forget that the British murdered 50% of our children in their concentration camps. It is despicable that this Afrikaner will lie about the Afrikaner's suffering. The British invented concentration camps and Julian Melck's great grandfather help murder the Boers.
This guy is such a wholesome character, he really made the travel videos slightly more interesting and cinematic than all other travel creatures
I’m watching this amazing episode from Zanzibar Tanzania 🇹🇿 kendwa beaches love you cool vision
what a G!
Kenya coffee is the best! Y'all should try it 🇰🇪
Amazing video once again 😊
Wauw, hives, horses, sheep, cattle, dogs, flying planed, avoiding refined sugar ( he is right, Slava. Sugar is toxic to the body. Pure honey, Stevia or monkfruit are great sugar alternatives 😊).. what to say about the man living on the Kersefontein farm. Eclectic, charming,,wears an interesting colorful pair of jeans at the start of the video, and knows how to live his dream. Thansk for taking us along.
Zambia is waiting Mr. Salva❤

Great episode Slava! Really enjoyed it, as I do all of your videos. One thing was missing…I didn't hear anything about a wife or the next generation.
Really enjoyed the history and agree this place is a gem. The gentleman full of interesting fact. No mention of his family. Thanks for sharing and keep up with these types of videos.
I am also an Afrikaner, my family came to South Africa in 1656 and the guy who came from Holland opened a shoe factory of some sorts, he then got married to a women with the surname of Naude (French) who owned a sheep farm, apparently she was one of the biggest sheep farmers in the are, but when the guy died he only had the sheep farm (She left to him when she died), no sheep and he left the farm, a set of Dueling pistols and a Fencing sword to his only son. Other than that, he was broke. The Boers, who are not Afrikaners came much later to South Africa, some of them arrived 200 years after my family settled in South Africa and most of the Boers later settled in the FreeState and the Transvaal because they refused to live under an English Governor. Contrary to belief, nopt all Afrikaners supported the English during the 1st or 2nd Boer Wars, my grandfather who was an Afrikaner (mixed Dutch and French) who still read the bible in "Hoogs Hollands" used to tell stories of how the English tried to recruite them to fight against the Boers. Later after the War was over, there was many excecutions on Afrikaners who was accused of supporting the English, their cases was heard by a Boer Judge on their farms and they were executed with a single shot to the head. One rule aplied, the prisoner was not to be executed infront of their children and they must be shot some distance from the house, don't know the facts here but some say about 20 Yards from the house. At the same time many Boer babies were aborted by the mothers because of the Rapes of these women in English concentration camps by the English and others. A very famoust lallaby song called "Siembamba, Mamma se Kindjie" reminds the Afrikaners and Boers of these deaths. Interesting point is that the Boers and the Zulu was the only 2 groups who ever fought a war against the English in South Africa, BUT it must be said that back in the 16 and 17th Centuary there we no Black groups anywhere in South Africa, the only people who the Dutch/French found there were the KOI and SAN, they were numerous back then and wondered peacefully all over the country untill first the Whites and much later the Blacks pushed them to almost extinction. During the early 18 hundreds millions of them was murdered by Balck groups who came from the North, they were of the Bantu Tribes up in Eastern Africa. It was said that the bones of the dead KOI and SAN was scattered all over the FreeState in such numbers that it attracted bone meal merchants to harvest the bones for Fertilizer, Barbaric, but true! who are we, Black or White to refuse these people the FIRST Nation Status?
Interesting South African historical generational family farm lifestyle story. 😃 Educational. Informative. Well done. Slava, start using honey than refined sugar! 💪Thank you for sharing. Keep it up, Slava. Happy New Year 2025! 🎉😍👍👏👏💞🌹

Another GREAT outstanding video. This farmer is so interesting and hospitable. Keep making these video's please
Fantastic and unique video!
He bred horses for the enemy of the boere farmers; the British, who put women and children into concentration camps, sent the men to st. Helena and burnt their farms down.
To visit this farm is on my bucket list for many years. I am from SA, already older and should really do it. The Melkcks are from a very well known family and are related to the the Duckitts from another well known farm, Groote Post. There were another farm Ganzekraal, the family also related to the Melcks, which was destroyed by the people to whom this farm was given.
The owner lost the farm due to betting on horses.
Woow it is so interesting ! and beutiful !
What is the mining of the Farm Name?
Do you intend selling any time soon? Iam interested
That was a very worthwhile and interesting documentary.
Thank you Julian Melck foe your hospitality.
What a gem
