US President Donald Trump delivered a speech via video link at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where he outlined his administration’s efforts to reverse what he described as ruinous policies of the previous administration. One of the major points he addressed was his decision to pull the United States out of the Paris climate accord, citing it as one-sided and unfair.
Trump also reiterated his call for NATO members to increase defense spending to 5% of their GDP, a demand that has been met with criticism from European allies in the past. He emphasized the importance of boosting domestic manufacturing through the use of tariffs.
The President’s speech highlighted his continued focus on economic and defense policies, as well as his commitment to putting America first. Trump’s statements at Davos reflect his ongoing efforts to reshape international relationships and trade agreements.
Overall, Trump’s address at Davos showcased his administration’s approach to global issues and emphasized his willingness to challenge existing international agreements in order to promote American interests.

Well this is embarrassing
8:50 – 9:35 …words I wish President Cyril Ramaphosa would be saying soon
Holy mother of pearl, 5%? I don’t think many realize just how much money that would be. The entire European economic and societal system would have to go through an entire overhaul just to allow that. Taxes would need to be raised massively and social programs cut. To put that in perspective Russia , who is in an insanely costly war with Ukraine, spent about 6-7% in 2024.
President Trump sees what Poland and other NATO countries are capable of contributing to their own defence and what other countries are not, many of which are still not even meeting the prior 2% minimum from a decade ago. Thus, raising the bar to 5% for everyone does more to point out inequities than to continue to name individual countries. It is up to the EU and NATO members to do that. As a Veteran, I have stood watch in European countries starting in the 70s. There is no reason why the US should still be the primary defender for European security, a partner, yes, the primary contributor, no. BOTTOM LINE: I do not want my grandchildren standing th next watch. JUST SAYING…
Trump is still in campaign mode😂
trump has taken over speech in America

One man changing in a positive way this crazy world 👍💪✝️🙏
Feeling sorry for those leaders who had to listen Trumpf's ultra-ego speech without the ability to fast forward 🤣
Funny how Trump doesn't threaten American companies who manufacture abroad.
Biden kept all of trumps last tariffs in place and even added more on items like bicycles etc. Why was therelittle mention of this?
5% GDP for wartime defense spending is actually historically low. Eastern European countries like Poland and the Baltics are already hitting that target
Rejecting emerging technologies and holding onto 19thC things like petrol engines doesn’t seem like a good way to future proof your economy or manufacturing base.
He really likes the sound of his voice, doesn't he?
🙏🏻
Can you talk about Mr Dumm and not show clips of him. Rots my brain listening to his nonsense .
jesus christ the lies and lies and lies….
Tiger King personality pattern 🏀🏀
Have you heard about a paradigm called "Trumpism?", You'll Study it later 😅
I thought he was going to end the war on day 1 🤯
When China was severely sanctioned by the United States, Europe remained silent. When Russia was severely sanctioned by the United States, Europe actively participated. Now the United States has turned to Europe. Do you expect China to remain silent? Or do you hope that Russia will actively cooperate? Let's see.
green new scam n ukraine 😂
Poor America has been "Victim" of every other country of the world 🤣
He LIED!! He does NOT have a mandate. Mango Mussolini got 49.8% of the popular vote and Harris got 48.33%.
Where's the USA's accountability for the Iraq war and the mess they caused? The destruction, death and mass migration? Where's their accountability for keeping the Latin America poor? It' s them who should be paying. It's high time Europe defended themselves and if we are to spend 5% of GDP it should not be for American bombs
DAVOS
Trump's goal in requiring NATO countries to spend 5% of their military budget is to eventually require 3% of that to be used to buy American weapons, continuing to take advantage of Europe.
He LIED! The US economy is not in shambles – it's doing better than all European countries! As for the budget deficit, that was caused by Mango Mussolini's tax cuts when he was in office 2017-2020.
I dont quiet understand. So if companies do relocate to USA, and the government gives them huge tax cuts along with civilians and the rich, how then does the government generate enough revenue to bridge the deficit??
Europe should sit with the new administration of Canada to receive oil and gas while importing goods to Canada. Canada should be part of the new European Army.
People outside the US: He is lying! Lying! Lying! Once Covid was under control, inflation quickly dropped. Also, US gas prices are far less expensive than what Europeans pay. Finally, grocery prices went up, but not as much as he claims.
The best president in this century! 🇺🇸
'we will have no men participating in women sports'?
so thats his big plan?
have saudi bring down the price if oil to stop the war in ukraine.
well that will happen………. NOOOT!
What sould saudi gain on lower oil prices? nothing
This guy is a lunatic,, we are gonna pay the price as americans..
God help us all.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The worst stand up comedian show I have ever heard
Does NATO really need the US? NATO members should just kick the US out of NATO.
Canada must increase military spending, specific focusing on nuclear weapons and swarm-drones.
