Iran refutes allegations of assisting Houthis as rebels in Yemen vow revenge following US strike.

Iran has once again denied allegations of aiding Yemen’s Houthi rebels, with a commander from the Revolutionary Guard asserting that the group makes their own operational and strategic decisions independently. This denial comes in the aftermath of a series of airstrikes launched by the U.S. against the militant group.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has firmly stated that the U.S. will no longer tolerate the actions of the Houthis, particularly in important international shipping lanes. Rubio emphasized that the support from Iran is crucial for the Houthi rebels to carry out such activities.

In response to the U.S. attacks, Houthi leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi has issued a warning of retaliation, stating that they will escalate their actions in response to the aggression. He specifically mentioned targeting U.S. ships in the Red Sea as a form of retaliation as long as the attacks on Yemen continue.

The tensions between the U.S., Iran, and Yemen’s Houthi rebels continue to escalate, with the potential for further conflict looming on the horizon. The situation remains volatile as all parties involved remain steadfast in their positions.
