60 Minutes is really pumping up the volume before their ultimate demise.
From the NIH, CDC, FDA, and even the WHO… nobody can trust these corrupt acronyms anymore. Game over. Next player, please.
If the cure for cancer hasn't been discovered already, the moment it happens, the patent will be purchased and buried forever.
Brain drain? You mean intellectual property rights that only exist in our ridiculous legal system, right? What is best for quality patient care? What the insurance company will cover or what the patient can afford? What about the medical profession claiming to do no harm? Was that monetarily speaking, or literally?
As a lab supervisor for a biotech company, we studied so hard in school and see no benefits in what lies ahead for us due to being down played and looked at as unreliable yet we’re trying our best to better everyone’s lives. Science degrees are the hardest degrees to obtain (undergraduate wise) yet we don’t get paid as such.
Trump is Making China Great Again
Unless said "American" can speak the language of the country they plan to flee to, then they'll be a bunch of unemployed scientist. China has plenty of Ph.D.'s that are going to Europe and beyond. Latin America has plenty of Ph.D.'s, with Brazil being one of the leaders in that region. Brazil just developed a vaccine to combat the unique strain of bacteria that exists in malaria specific to South America. This (60 minutes) piece is misleading for U.S. audiences.
Doomed.
Where are they going to go, Russia or even better China? I call BS. America is the greatest country on Earth. If you too stupid and woke to live here, go elsewhere and see what happens.
Lets be frank. These scientists will go wherever they can get paid the most money. Some may consider the country. But thats like idk 5th on the list….
Generation ago people from other countries came to the United States for better opportunities. The opposite is now happening. People in the United States are moving to other countries for better opportunities. Some people may never come back.
Trump is trying to deplete these
Thanks for sharing
Exactly. Why would they want to stay around people who think Noah and the Ark happened?
I truly hope other countries step in and take everything Trump is throwing away. Americans obviously don’t care. They will once they see what they lose.
Liberal still mad with TDS that trump won that they're pushing propaganda. Ahahahahaha.
I love 60 minutes! I can not thank you all enough for the great news stories you've done for decades! 👏👏👏
Latin America should take notes
If only the people who were ticked off over the 2020 election left the country instead of first insurrecting the Capitol then just cutting science funding.
Austerity does not breed fiscal responsibility. It merely promotes survivalism which reduces the economy to those who have and those who want. Austerity is the simpleton's answer to trying times. You do get something done however in some respects you have ruined what you tried to fix in the first place
Trump and his MAGA supporters have a general disdain of science, higher education, and intellectuals. America is in decline. 😢
American people better make a choice in the Mid-terms and Vote Straight Democrat by getting total control of both houses, Impeach Trump and have him removed and imprisoned for being a Clear Present Danger of National & Economic Security! Anyone against, lacks Critical Thinking Skills!
Dei aka blacks ruined the system, from political positions to athlete position
NIH funding was decreasing over years before and nobody was talking about it. Junior scientists have been struggling to obtain funding under Biden. Finding a postdoc became a mission impossible way before Trump.
When a leader runs a country as a business all they see is numbers. Unfortunate to hear given America is already in a deficit of scientists.
This is the most alarming reality long term.
the countrys going bankrupt its gotta be cut
