Guy Fieri Eats "Masterpiece" Ramen at Noodle Shop in DC
Nestled above a vibrant pub in Washington, DC, lies a hidden gem that is a must-visit for noodle enthusiasts: Toki Underground. This quirky noodle shop has garnered praise from food lovers and critics alike, including none other than Guy Fieri. Known for its addictive ramen and mouth-watering vegetarian dumplings, Toki Underground is where culinary creativity meets comfort food.
The Ramen
This "masterpiece" ramen is a delectable combination of rich flavors and intricate textures. Picture a perfectly crafted broth, simmered for hours to extract every last ounce of umami goodness. It’s beautifully balanced—savory, with just the right hint of spice, making each slurp an unforgettable experience.
Topped with an array of fresh ingredients, this ramen often features tender slices of braised pork, perfectly runny soft-boiled eggs, and a scattering of meticulously prepared vegetables. Each element adds its unique flair, creating a harmony that delights the palate. The noodles themselves are cooked to perfection: chewy, yet smooth, ensuring they soak up all the lovely broth.
The Dumplings
And let’s not forget about the vegetarian dumplings that Fieri raved about! Hand-folded and delicately steamed, these dumplings are a flavor explosion. Stuffed with a medley of fresh vegetables and spices, they provide a refreshing counterpoint to the rich ramen. Served with a tangy dipping sauce that balances the flavors, they are a fantastic addition to the meal.
The Experience
Hunting down this funky noodle joint is part of the adventure. Once you arrive, the vibrant atmosphere and welcoming staff make you feel right at home. The décor is eclectic, showcasing local art and a laid-back vibe that invites you to relax and indulge in your meal.

I did have “chicken love handles” on my Bingo card today. Stunning victory!
I went to a pho place he visited in Calgary. They have his signed half sheet pan hung up on the wall. Unfortunately the dish he had wasn't on the menu but it was one the best pho I have tired in Canada.

Oh man that ramen dish looks insane. Love the chicken oysters as well. They're not called the "chef's treat" for nothing! Also the size of those pots wow.

Why is everyone using the word "masterpiece" like it's just been invented?
How the heck do you poach an egg for an hour??
When a cook mentions California I no it’s a scam. Most cooks in California are not from California or the USA 🇺🇸
