We kicked off our journey at the Waitomo Glowworm Caves, where we tackled the exhilarating Abyss Tour for the third time! Descending 600 feet into the cave, we rappelled, zip-lined, and rafted our way out beneath a mesmerizing sky of glowing worms—a truly magical experience that never ceases to amaze.
Next up was Hillary Outdoors, a fantastic non-profit focused on outdoor education. We had the opportunity to explore their brand-new property, and we’re already imaginative Bucket List Expedition ideas for the future. Who’s ready to join us?
Our magical night at Hillbrooke Estate was nothing short of paradise. If you’re looking for a luxury escape that feels like heaven on earth, this is your place!
We also ventured into the more remote and dramatic Doubtful Sound on an overnight cruise with RealNZ, marveling at majestic fjords and stunning waterfalls while taking a refreshing dip in the ocean.
For thrill-seekers, white water rafting on the Shotover River delivered an adrenaline rush like no other. Tackling Class 4 and 5 rapids, we held on tight and loved every moment!
And let’s not forget the iconic AJ Hackett Bungy Jump—returning to where many of our adventures began, we jumped off the bridge again, feeling the same thrill as the first time.
Lastly, we wrapped up our adventure with a beautiful TSS Earnslaw Sunset Cruise, enjoying a farm-to-table dinner and a delightful sheepdog show as we cruised against a stunning sunset backdrop.
