Wilmington, NC – one of my favorite places on Earth 🌎🌸🌍
NoDa! Love the Corner Grill 💚🌷🌿
Look eastern bc bbq is awful.
Chicken and waffles, from what I've found, don't come from the south. This is from Harlem back in the 20s. The musicians were finished by about 2 or 3 am and were hungry. They couldn't decide if they wanted dinner or breakfast, so voila! Jam the two together.
"Pulled pork" is a Yankee term. We don't hate y'all for saying it, but here we chop or slice. My favorite BBQ is the eastern and original (in NC) vinegar and peppers. I live 25 minutes from Lexington, the other style, but I go to that town for chicken wings. Not fond of their stuff.
I'm a native. All 76 years of my life. I looooove our southern food. 💕

You know NC is more than just Charlotte and the coastal towns, right? Where is the love for the Research Triangle?
