Roberto Casati est directeur de recherche au CNRS et professeur à l’EHESS, où il occupe la chaire de philosophie de l’océan. Il dirige l’Institut Jean Nicod et l’équipe Navigation, travaillant sur la perception, la représentation spatiale et la cartographie marine. Auteur de dix livres et de 130 articles, il a aussi contribué au débat sur le colonialisme numérique. Passionné de navigation, il a traversé l’Atlantique en tant que chercheur à bord.
