Join me on a seamless journey from Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) to downtown Beijing, recorded on May 19, 2025. This comprehensive guide covers every aspect of your arrival experience, including navigating immigration, baggage claim, and currency exchange options. I take you through the process of accessing ATMs and purchasing tickets for the Airport Express train, highlighting the fare and what to expect during the ride. To wrap up, I book a taxi for my final destination, ensuring you have all the information you need for your trip. Perfect for first-time travelers or anyone looking to navigate Beijing with ease!

Maybe I am wrong on this but is it that you have to look at the passport machine while you put your passport in the machine? Maybe a camera is there matching it up with your passport photo. Maybe your filming device blocks your face also a little.
24:41 To me Action Kid is so great because the author appreciates the finer things like simply looking out the train window, for long enough simulated real time (and often actual live!) that we can engage in this, instead of a bunch of choppy highlights distracting you. And, if you like, he gives the max of stuff about what it's like to…do it! 😉
Whoa, how are you able to access YouTube when you’re in China?
lol London is beginner level for international travel from the states
Taiwan is medium
Beijing advanced
it defiantly is a challenge for sure if coming from the states being your mom is there to help is a major bonus
im sure most would want to give up or get screwed over before leaving the airport with the hinderences on tech they have vs what we are used to here
Enjoyed the video. What a nice welcome to China from the college student on the train. His English is excellent.
A maps works is China and Maps, eh? works in Canada.
I'm excited your mom is with you!! Enjoy you two! ❤
I could easily get lost trying to navigate that airport its so big
This was an informative video for first-time travelers in Beijing. The university student in the airport train is very nice, and you did a good job practicing your Mandarin. 很棒 – Hen Bang! 👍 1:08:43 You're mixing in some Cantonese here. 😆 I'm glad you're enjoying your time in China with your mom, and thank you for sharing this video, AK! 🤗
@58:37 I think the way that that guy looked at you indicated that he might like you :), He kept looking at you many times before he initiated a conversation.
remember to try the Beijing Subway more it is very good!
最討厭那種在机埸等的輔助電梯搶道,這是供提重行李的人方便,要快要趕時間就走外面沒人管你
Wow looks clear there. Last time I was there, everything outside looked yellow due to the pollution. Been many years and the airport looks exactly the same…
Emacs?
This machine only applies to foreign devils 😂
Airpot looks empty..
Please edit thise long wait times..
Awesome video thanks for sharing! I find it amazing that you didn’t actually stand outside in the fresh air until the very end of the video! That airport is so huge!
Why did you need a taxi when you decided to use metro? Metro can basically take you anywhere in beijing. Or you can take a taxi from airport directly
nice video man making me miss china might have to go back
I visited China in 2018 absolutely loved it. Going back to China 2026. I was able to access Facebook, UTube, Google etc had no problems. I am a New Zealander.
