We Tried the World’s Worst Coffee…(at the Source)
In their latest adventurous escapade, Jason and Nikki Wynn take us on a journey to Uganda, where they dive deep into the world of coffee. Armed with skepticism in their mugs, this intrepid duo sets off to explore what many consider to be the "worst" coffee—robusta. Their mission? To challenge misconceptions and uncover the true story behind this often-maligned bean.
From bustling city streets to tranquil hills shrouded in mist, the Wynns navigate Uganda’s enchanting landscapes, all while enjoying the warm hospitality of the locals. As they visit a coffee farm nestled between banana trees, they discover that perceptions of robusta coffee may not be as straightforward as they thought. What begins as a casual expedition turns into an eye-opening exploration of the richness tied to the land and its people.
Their video not only presents the nuances of robusta coffee but also highlights the beauty of connection, curiosity, and the unexpected joys found in open-minded exploration. With breathtaking visuals and heartfelt storytelling, the Wynns remind us that every sip of coffee has a story worth telling.
Join them in this compelling adventure, fueled by curiosity and a deep appreciation for the journey—because sometimes, the path to discovering the extraordinary begins with the so-called "worst."

What city? Cities?

That hole RV thing just went away?
Please do not encourage travel to Uganda at this time. It is at a Level 3 on state department warnings. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/traveladvisories/uganda-travel-advisory.html. People should be aware that this is NOT advisable.
Glad you’re staying with friends.. travel for Americans right now is.. best done using Real attention to your destination and how some of us are perceived. At least we know you’re safe because we’re watching the video. Thoughts and a few prayers for your safety ❤ Jason, you need to visit the Kona plantations in Hawaii.. Seriously the Best Coffee in the World 😋
What area?? Where in Uganda? why the secret??
How do you think you're safe in a country like that? Do you have a team of Blackwater behind the camera?
Just finished watching- awesome share- safe travels ❤😊
I'm not a coffee snob or connoisseur but it is an interesting thing. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
I can’t believe YOU ARE COMPLETELY SILENT about WHERE in Uganda you are …. We PLANTED COFFEE IN THE SHADE OF BANANA TREES… Around Hoima!
Our nanny was from Uganda. Her hubby was attending our local university. Best nanny we had. When Quodwah called my wife she said something that broke our hearts. She said to my wife “l have to tell you l'm black.” Our kids loved her as did we.
You make Traveling Africa joyous !! It is welcome thank you for all of us. I want to know do you ever meet Snow and Curt? II just wanna know cause they’re traveling and Uganda I just wanted to find out
The video I thought Jason and Nikki would NEVER make.
So glad to hear that residuous trees are supportive of the growth of the plants I remember reading about Wangari Maathai. She was the first African woman to be awarded the peace prize in Canada, and grew her crops the same way you do. Thanks for sharing her legacy continues on!
Hummm… coffee! Yeah! So glad to have the education and also the introduction to Uganda. ❤❤
Jason, I used to Love Coffee.. that’s how I discovered Kona.. I have Congenital Heart Disease now so Caffeine isn’t allowed anymore. Have a cup for me 😁 and enjoy 😊
How VERY exciting!
So how many airline miles have you two logged in the last year ? How things have changed , from from promoting a low impact green life style to whatever it is your doing now.
Can we buy this coffee somewhere, somehow?
Love this! Glad I had a chat with you over the phone. Your advice was top tier Nikki👌🏾
Sorry, I can’t watch a video about a county I’d love to visit, but where I’d also be subject to the death penalty 😢
Jason, I, too, fall into the upper coffee snob group, and I wear the name proudly. I spent $8,000 on a Gaggia Krea Touch Super Automatic Touch Expresss Machine… yes, it is an addiction…
Folgers coffee is 60 percent robusta coffee!
These videos are better than sailing videos. Love the traveling series and education along the way. I think you’ve found the next thing and forget the boat.
SUNDAY FUNDAY! I am happy to see Jason and Nikki on a adventure.❤
I love how passionately Robert talks about his coffee and how everything in nature works together.
I roast my own coffee. Ive roasted varieties from all over the world. Mostly Arabica like everyone else, but when you truely need more caffiene in less time, gotta get some robusta in there. Ive seen large companies do blends with adding a bit of robusta to them for the extra caffiene which makes the weirder flavors less noticeable. Sometimes I blend it in, sometimes I just need it pure. A need to try coffee I love, Arabica though, Indian Monsooned Malabar.

I love you two and wish you continued safe, healthy, and enjoyable journeys.❤👏🏾👍🏾✌️🏾👏🏾🤞🏾🙏🏾🫶🏾👴🏾
I had a friend that was French. He was talking about coffee one day. A cup of American coffee and your good for the morning. A cup of French coffee and your good for the day, But if you have a cup of Italian coffee your good for the rest of the week. Now I know why. The Italian coffee is Robusta with higher caffeine.
This was fabulous. Robert was incredibly interesting. Shame my own coffee isn’t up to snuff. Thank you Jason and Nikki for another fascinating Sunday morning.
What a beautiful episode! Everyone that was waving and saying welcome just blows my mind. Everyone in the world needs to travel and experience different cultures. The southern United States was always said to be so friendly. Having grown up in Tennessee and Florida I can tell you that it is nothing like what I just witnessed in this episode. What beautiful land and people. Now I've gotta have a cup of Robusta!
Have fun, you troubadours of peace and love. ✌️❤️🌎🙏
This was so interesting!!! I thought I'd miss the sailing videos but these videos are just as good!!! I can't wait to see you in more Uganda vids!!!
I lived in Uganda for nearly 3 years. A beautiful country with beautiful people! This video makes me homesick!
We want to thank you for recommending LMNT electrolyte rehydration product. I'm now sold on it. It is fantastic way to get the proper salt and other elements to combat the super intense heat of the summer. I'm buying a 40 pack now after the trying the sampler promo kit. Wondeeful product to sponsor IMO.
This was excellent! This is the kind of programming I like!. Forget boats- Show us more like this!
Nikki & Jason, what an adventure! Gone with the Wynns, my new favorite travel channel. Cheers!
Let the word ring out, cattle are essential to regenerative farms. A universal truth. Great talk and tour. ❤Uganda. Will look for arrabaca!
Fantasic episode guys! You always teach me something new and your enthusiasm always draws me in.
Well this one goes down as one on my most favorite episodes you have done. I'd say this is in my top ten. Just so interesting, great filming and the editing was on point. You know what, I can see you both, one day, when you move away from boating and travelling, settling down on a peice of land like this and starting your own Coffee Business. I think you would be great at it and would be an asset to a local community just like this one!
So, wait. I can spray caffeine/coffee around my foundation to keep the termites and ants out???? Hmm. Coffee smelling house sounds good to me!
Sorry we got enougth of them here I don't want to watch a video of them
Hands down one of the best videos I’ve ever watched. Love your content all around. I’ve been to Uganda and never experienced a coffee farmer. Thank you really enjoyed learning from this amazing farmer.
I think this video is my favorite of yours. Loved the info! I'm planning a visit to Kenya later this year, and now I'm looking forward to the coffee.
Omg I learned so much. I too enjoy coffee but I’m not picky. Really enjoyable episode.
Do they sell boats 🚢 there lol
Your travel videos are so incredibly informative and up lifting! Your passion, his passion and philosophy are truly inspiring. I have such respect for his work, knowledge and love of his land and I have never even met him. Thank you for bringing such a wonderful show into our lives!
