Summary of For Singles Only (1968)
For Singles Only is a vibrant snapshot of late-1960s dating culture, blending romantic comedy, soap opera, and social satire into a delightful and kitschy experience. Directed by the imaginative Robert A. Cinader, this film takes audiences on a whimsical journey through the life of Anne, played by the effervescent Mary Ann Mobley.
After moving into a singles-only apartment complex, Anne finds herself amidst the colorful chaos of pool parties and flirtations, all set against a backdrop of groovy fashion and lively music. The menagerie of characters she encounters reflects the playful yet complex dynamics of the era’s social scene, with a particular focus on the shifting roles between genders.
John Saxon steps into the role of the suave bachelor, eager to win Anne’s affection. However, to his surprise, she proves to be more than just a pretty face. Anne embodies a refreshing blend of independence and wit, challenging the traditional romantic notions of the time.

JUNE 17TH, 2025. SO, FOR THESE PEOPLE TO BE ADULTS IN 1968 MOST OF THEM ARE FROM 1930'S/1940'S MY GRANDMAS TIME, LONG TIME AGO…NICE MOVIE I LIKE IT. THANK YOU FOR THE MOVIE.
JUNE 17TH, 2025. THIS DECADE OF THE FILM MUST BE THE DECADE WHERE PEOPLE STILL LOVED AND RESPECTED EACH OTHER, AND THAT A KISS WAS MORE THAN A KISS…NOWADAYS EVERYTHING IS SO TRIVIALIZED AND DANGEROUS THAT I DON'T EVEN FEEL LIKE LOOKING FOR A MAN…ANYWAY THERE ARE NO MEN ANYMORE BECAUSE MEN WANT MEN AND WOMEN WANT A MAN, THERE IS A LACK OF REAL MEN ON THE MARKET…!!!
I’m sitting here, mesmerized by the stunning beauty of the character of Helen Todd. Then I look up the cast. The actress playing Helen is Lana Wood, Natalie Wood’s sister. I always said Natalie Wood was the most beautiful creature of all time. She and Lana are not identical, but there is something spectacular about their gene pool. 😊

Thank you for posting this. I always wanted to see this movie and it did not disappoint. Very entertaining and loved the fashions and cars. And excellent video quality.
Correction, Stephen Pearcy.
Milton Berle is related to Steven Percy of Ratt. He's in the video Round and Round!
Two independent pretty women move into a groovy late 60s swingers club disguised as colourful hip apartment block Sans Souci ( meaning without care in the french language).
Will they survive the groping mysgnostic tanned hands and phony white smiles of the handsome bachelor contingent pool side ?
If so; will they gain respect as tuned in free thinkers hip to the groove ?
One thinks – probably not !
Its a laugh fest ; male values seem a little dated but true its a veritable time capsule from c. 1967. John Saxon stars but sadly its one of better B – grade Corman exploitation style flicks he was often involved with.
Dated; fun filled kooky colourful romp fest !
This explains A LOT about my mother 😆
the sixties are an embarrassment today
I love these for the clothes and scenery
