The hands might be the most important part. Walking looks impressive, but being able to handle tools and different objects is what makes a robot useful.
Tesla has ambitious timelines, so I’ll believe mass production when we see actual numbers and robots working consistently on the factory floor.
The AI side is just as important as the hardware. What good is a sophisticated hand if the robot can’t reliably figure out what to pick up?
I think the design is getting closer to something practical. The real challenge is making it reliable enough to work all day in a factory.
Does anyone know if Tesla has officially confirmed these Gen 3 images, or are they still just leaks and speculation?
I’m curious how much one of these robots will actually cost once production starts. The price will matter just as much as the technology.
If Optimus becomes affordable and dependable, it could be huge for manufacturing. But do you think Tesla can achieve that by 2027, or will it take longer?
Imagine having Optimus handle repetitive factory tasks, but I wonder how much human supervision it will still need.
The exterior looks cleaner, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the motors or joints have improved. We need to see real performance tests.
The new hands look interesting, but I’d like to see them actually picking up small objects before calling this a major upgrade.
In French please 🙏🏼

Tesla Optimus Gen 3 looks more advanced! Better hands could help it do more factory jobs.
How long before I can buy 1 in Australia to assist in and around my home Elon?
Thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🇫🇷🇫🇷
All that is great. Can it pay Canasta yet?
optimus bullshit
It's contradictory that robots can't produce things themselves
Observing the structure of humanity and artificial intelligence through the lens of Einstein's theory of relativity: just as time and space weave into an inseparable four-dimensional spacetime, "interaction" serves as the underlying grid for the current coexistence of both; within this continuum, the structure of the future has already been anchored in the interactions of the present.
Just as space and time weave into an inseparable four-dimensional spacetime—where the dimensions are width, length, depth, and time—the current interaction between AI and humans will set the foundation for future development along this anchored continuum. Ultimately, any prediction evaluating the dominance between humans and AI will be decided by unknown factors of spacetime that are completely unpredictable to us right now.
Nice update
Can i have it as a friend?
