Go try Casa Taco in Ubud. Excellent Mexican food. Im originally from San Diego. Calif so I can honestly say their Mexican food is pretty good. Just add extra lime and some pico de gio to the guacamole. Their taco bowl is excellent with carne asada as the meat chose. Go to Campuhan Hotel on the outskirts of Ubud to swim and there's an great pool at the Maya in Ubud. You can swim at either place . The Balinese culture is quite alive and thriving. I am married to a Balinese Kasatria… And the culture is nonstop ceremonies, etc. etc etc. Every Balinese home has a temple inside the family compound. There is an Indian Restaurant as you leave Ubud going towards Campuhan. It's on the left. The blueberry coconut pancakes are amazing. They also have chocolate coconut balls.. vegan .. that are sooo good.
Nice video Gabe, enjoy your travels Matey 🙂
I was there Two years ago, and this video gives me great memories, yeah I miss the lovely little temples and all the traditional music in the background, and I loved eating the local food was delicious, and the people were very friendly, but it does have crazy traffic thou, way too many motorcycles, and the footpath wasn’t the best either,
The other town you were in looked way more calmer
Booking should add the option "Pool with Jetstream," then the pool can also have a length of 3meters and you can swim forever, untill there is a power blackout…
That down town Ubud. Doesn't represent Ubud really! I live in Ubud in Sayan village and I would not live here if I was located where you rented. Get out of the city and go visit some rice fields.
Why don't you swim in the sea is the only thing I like to watch ( what I like to do) the rest is fast forward
just wondering why no one rides bicycles there. It would be so much quieter.
The place you are staying looks amazing and incredible value. The culture is so interesting.
Nooo we love the 30 min max videos
The street blocks are a way to get people to pay for a square to memorialize themselves and mitigate the expense of paving the street..your place is about 100 feet from where I stayed. You picked a good area
Ubud is a millennial gulag
I really love Ubud, but that traffic wow! Normally I would always go there but went to Nusa Ceningan for somewhere different back in May. I hope you find a pool big enough to do laps in. Maybe you need to find a resort. I stayed at a place years ago called Ananda Cottages and they had a large pool surrounded by rice paddies. It’s still around but a lot more expensive. Called Ananda Resort now. Thank you for the walk through Ubud, I always love the atmosphere there and the choice of restaurants and food. ❤😊
Insane amount of traffic in Ubud – Glad to have been there in the early 80's when it only had a few options for hotels and dusty dirt roads.
Hi. Hotel Sorga Cottages has a good swimming pool. Kuta.
Nice video gabriel. But I can see bali is far to touristy
Cool video. 🌴
I don't like this place…its charmless and the tourists look cheap. I think I would stay in my hotel all week long😂
This place is detrimental to my taste
a mix of both. i used to live in Ubud 2019-2023, the heaven part was during no tourism, it really was a unique amazing period of time for the peace & quiet, relaxation & local people also being into more just family life without the hustle & traffic, crowds Ubud is usually famous for. but as soon as tourism was back, prices sky-rocketed, everything was back again, and frankly i decided to leave as it made no sense anymore
Hi Gabriel, there's a reason why people go to Bali aside from the weather, which is beautiful for the most part. Those prices for food and the exquisite style of the resorts – I don't think many places around the world can compare. Especially at this time of year, who doesn't want to escape the cold winter? You could check this place out, The Sun of Granary, which has a long pool.
Swan Inn, currently $18, not a lap pool but bigger (ultimate gem, no crowds? Lake Toba;)
I want Nasi Goreng, Rendang, Atjar, Sambal Oelek, Sajour etc. etc
I’ve always dreamed of visiting Indonesia — especially Bali. Unfortunately, there are no diplomatic relations between my country, Israel, and Indonesia, but I truly believe the people of Bali would welcome visitors with open hearts.
You want to keep making your videos shorter and shorter, but seriously—what the hell do you need to relax from? It’s like you’re living a vacation life. Soon we’ll be sending you money, and you’ll just post 10-second clips so you can chill all day long if you want…
If you are walking in the balinese village, you will see alot of art sense sculpture, tropical garden, flower etc
Hi Gabriel. I also live in Ubud. thanks to your videos that inspired me maybe 10 years ago or so to travel the world for cheap, and eventually never returning to USA. If you like to swim laps in Ubud you must go to ParQ now called Onyx. they have arguably the longest pool in the island and maybe in all of Indonesia. made by Russians like everything in Russia. enjoy! and if you'd like to meet and say hi, I'd be happy to.
Thank You Gabriel 🇨🇦👍❤🇮🇩
