Join me on a comprehensive journey from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Midtown Manhattan using public transportation! In this video, I capture every step of the trip, starting with a scenic walk from the terminal, boarding the AirTrain to Jamaica Station, and then hopping on the Long Island Railroad for a smooth ride into the heart of New York City. Whether you’re a first-time traveler or a seasoned New Yorker, this guide will showcase the ease of navigating the city’s transit system. Don’t forget to check out the Google Maps route linked in the description!

Long Island Railroad also serves Grand Central Madison, New York Penn Station is now called Moynihan Train Hall except for the NJ transit part
$24 bucks is a deal though!
NYC and AK feels just right!! 😊
Wow place and Thank you for sharing video actionkid 😊🚉❤️🗽😎👍
24:23 "Where are the machines !?" – Be careful what you wish for, Kid…
In my experience of riding the trains over the years, I believe more people prefer to take the A train rather than the LIRR to and from JFK, because there is much more space to sit with your luggage in a subway car compared to having to lift it onto those small racks in the LIRR cars. Welcome back to the Big Apple, Action Kid!
Back in the day I used to catch the A train, to Howard Beach, then caught a bus, I got to ride the AirTrain when they first built it, but I only remember It stopped in Jamaica Qns? Looks a lot different now.
😊😊😊
I'm taking this exact trip in June and July. I might take the subway on one and the LIRR on another.
🏆🏆👏🏽👏🏽
Great video….But please note that someone can tap the same credit card or phone up to four times when paying to get on the subway or using the Air Train. In other words one person can pay for four people. You mistakenly said that each person would have to have their own credit card.
Was initially bit confusing when visiting from Australia, on our way to Brooklyn . The very patient airport staff face 100 Aussies per day …
“ “where do I pay to get to Jamaica?”
“ Jamaica”
“No, where do I PAY ….to get to Jamaica?”
“Yes, pay AT Jamaica…”
Nice video but our narrator exaggerates the difficulty on the subway with luggage. As long as you travel to an ADA-compliant station, you'll be fine. The LIRR gets crowded sometimes too. Also, there are no stairs involved with the subway at Jamaica Station – just take an elevator.
I will officially stop watching CBS on 22 MAY 2026.
Someone may Come Saturday Night and be stuck…..
I just did this transportation from JFK to Penn Station. Very easy! On my way back, I looked into the Uber Shuttle… but that directed me to a meeting point at Penn Station! BTW I am elderly and wasn't familiar with the Long Island RR app. I previously downloaded the app and asked a young lady on the platform and she quickly helped me purchase the ticket. I was told that you can buy a ticket directly from an attended while on the train. As for the Airtrain, you just tap your phone.
Even though ActionKid is moving to Vietnam, he could still continue making NYC walking videos if he wanted to. He could have an assistant or someone else film the walking footage while he continues doing the commentary himself. The commentary, information, and personality are a big part of what makes the channel unique and why people subscribe in the first place. There’s nothing unethical or unprofessional about that at all, since collaborations like that are common in media and production.
Surprisingly Philadelphia has a train inside the Airport that goes directly to the AMTRAK station and then 2 downtown stations. One fare, One train. Shocking, I know Phila is otherwise so disfunctional, dirty n dangerous.
