So a Wolf is basically an autistic dog?
Friendly is good to a point. You can be overly friendly and get what we have now in society, called suicidal empathy, which is an over feminization of our country ie woke cancel culture. It leads to policies and prescriptions that are overly empathetic or friendly versus what’s actually needed to maintain a healthy culture and society. Think of the general difference between how men raise their children versus women raise their children.
I am sitting on my couch, watching this video with four of these bizarre mutants; Happy, Phoebe, Rita and Charles Bronson.
🐶🐶🐶🐶
That HOWL was legit 😲 very COOL 😎 gave me goosebumps when the wolves responded 🔥 AWESOME
I don't think it's coincidental that the person doing the research is a shaggy dog 😝
Would've been nice to have a warning that we were going to see blood spattered wolves ripping apart flesh. 😡 Maybe some of us don't like to see those types of things.
Interesting. Now do pitbulls
Anybody else think this guy looks like Michael Costa from the Daily Show with long hair??
So Ben is the human version of a golden retriever
Nah… knowing human nature, we most likely snatched wolf pups from their mothers thousands of years ago. It's a practice that some indigenous people still do today, they take baby wolves, raise them, and harvest their fur. Somewhere along the way, there was this one weirdly tame baby wolf that its humans got attached to and raised instead of harvesting its fur.
Makes it easier to see how sociopaths are able to leverage people’s inherent friendliness and cooperative tendencies to manipulate them.
I just imagine the first wolve to ever succeed at being friendly and the others just watching like he’s Neil Armstrong🤔
Pit bulls would be dangerous
4:36 I do the same thing with my dogs LOL
Has anyone told Brian he sounds exactly like Jack Quaid? It’s insane! Not just the voice, but the intonation and how he emphasizes and pauses on his words! And he could honestly look like his cousin too….
3:25.. Opportunity?! uh no karen.. Captivity.
Not only friendliness happened, but man and wolves/dogs learning to work together, just as a group of people would care for each other. Wolves/Dogs also care for their pack.
I'm confused. Why are people with Williamson syndrome very friendly, yet they are missing the same (similar?) gene in dogs that make dogs friendly. I would think a deletion of the "friendly" gene would result in people with Williamson syndrome being non-friendly.
I saw a puppy and I clicked.
Scavenging dogs (ancestral form) atound human settlements would be of the lowest ranked, very likely ones expelled from their herd. An idea just occurred to me, no referable study. As for dogs' contact with humans, easily or smoothly accepted? No fear to them? A familiar narrative sounds too simplistic. Anyway, to reconstruct plausible scenarios is not easy at all.
Golden retrievers have a LOT of FRIENDLY genes!
This really opened my eyes, I wonder how the different breeds of dogs evolved.

I lack this trait dogs have evolved into
there is no such thing as evolution. God created all the parts.
Can someone explain cats?
Dogs are better then most people.
I need to know what kind of dog von Holdt has
if all humans disappear right now…. i think pugs chihuahuas maltese would go extint in a few yrs.
This is just up the road from me, the kids love to get a look and wolves love to stare and I mean stare at the little ones, they'll follow every move the kids make on their side of the fence. They'll look right past an adult with no eye contact. Behind the fence but they are still wild animals.
Wolves killing their mother isn't normal, is it? I thought the pack always cared for the elders.
“When people are happy, it makes me feel like I’ve achieved something.” That was powerful.
4 to 5 other human species? Please explain.
IDK about humans being the friendliest, dogs succeeded because being friendly to humans was successful for them, but for humans its different. For us it could be that being the most cooperative among each other made us more successful, but that doesn't necessarily mean "friendly".
I agree. Now stop allowing Pitbulls to reproduce.
Imagine that dog just taking his hand off and he continues
So that's what Uncle Joey is up to these days…
Ive heated that one of the oldest wolf parks in America said one shouldbt try to be part of the flock at all. One should be outside all hierarchies.
I'm super disappointed in Anderson Cooper. The Wolf dominance hierarchy theory has been disproven by actual scientists not these two wackadoos. When in captivity wolves act completely different than wild wolf packs. Wild wolf packs do not display dominance theory . Please look it up
Survival of the cutest.
You could fight Anderson Cooper with a feather pillow and he’d cry
We could all use the friendliness gene these days…
