In this conversation, Gayane Abrahamyan shares perspectives shaped by journalism, public service, and years of civic engagement. Reflecting on democracy, human rights, public responsibility, and Armenia’s evolving political landscape, she speaks about the importance of resilient institutions, active citizenship, and protecting human dignity in times of uncertainty and change. Gayane Abrahamyan is a journalist, civic leader, and human rights advocate with more than 25 years of professional experience. She is the founding president of the “For Equal Rights” NGO and the “Article 3” Human Rights Club, focused on human dignity, democracy, and social justice.
Throughout her career, she has worked with leading international and regional media outlets, covering human rights, corruption, governance, and social issues. Following Armenia’s 2018 democratic revolution, she served as a Member of Parliament, where she actively contributed to judicial reforms, anti-corruption initiatives, and parliamentary diplomacy.
Today, she continues her work through civil society, public diplomacy, and international advocacy platforms, focusing on democratic resilience, human rights, and Armenia’s European integration path.
