Blade Runner 2099: A New Chapter in a Dystopian Legacy
Set to premiere on November 25, 2026, Blade Runner 2099 takes us back to the iconic universe reimagined with a fresh narrative arc. In this gripping sequel to the beloved sci-fi franchise, we journey into a neon-lit Los Angeles, where the echoes of the past resonate amidst the chaos of a future still grappling with its identity.
The story centers on Cora, a woman who has spent her life as a fugitive, constantly morphing into different personas to evade those that hunt her. In what she hopes will be her final act of reinvention, Cora takes on one last identity, driven by a desperate wish to secure a better future for her younger brother. Her journey intertwines dramatically with that of Olwen, a seasoned Blade Runner facing the twilight of her own existence. As the unlikely duo navigates their complex relationship, they become enmeshed in a conspiracy that threatens not just their lives but the very essence of a city desperate to redefine itself.
With an engaging blend of action and existential themes, Blade Runner 2099 promises to explore what it means to be human in a world where identity is fluid and survival is paramount. As the characters confront their pasts and the ghosts that haunt them, the series delves into the allure and peril of technology, memory, and humanity itself.
Featuring standout performances by Hunter Schafer and Michelle Yeoh, this anticipated series is helmed by an innovative team dedicated to expanding the rich lore of the original films. With every frame whispering of nostalgia and future possibilities, Blade Runner 2099 is set to be a striking addition to the franchise, capturing the imagination of both new viewers and longtime fans.
As anticipation builds, cinephiles and casual viewers alike await this bold new chapter that promises to deepen the mythology of one of sci-fi’s most enduring sagas. Mark your calendars for November 25, 2026, as the legacy of Blade Runner continues into an uncertain yet thrilling future.

Girl Boss 2099. Yawn.
Ridley Scott really needs to leave these franchises alone.
Another woman boss, that's a surprise.
Less is more. Time to die
Oh joy! Another girl boss movie to avoid.
Niander Wallace lives?
This is gonna be awesome bro i love Hunter Schafer😭😭
Welp, looks like everyone is represented here…welcome to BlaDEI Runner! 🙄
Another amazing IP turned into a crap generic story about oppression. Do people in Hollywood ever tell stories about anything else? That tells you a lot about what the environment in Hollywood must be like, doesn't it? This is all they ever think about. I'm pretty glad I don't live anywhere near there, honestly.
What’s new here?
There goes another iconic series turned into crap.
I am done. Entertainment is DEAD
Stunning and brave blade runner
And BR ruined.
Watch the original blade runner movie once a month. Won’t watch this show once in my life.
i had hopes for this and i like the casting.. but bro, when you compare it to Neuromancer, it's levels below.. the cgi here just bothers me, fake light, effects and it doesn't look good
The first line of this video's description is pretty accurate, albeit unintentionally.
MORE trans sht!? Seriously 🙄😩 I thought we all got over that fad like 5 years ago…
Im gonna be a DAD
THIS LOOKS FUCKIN TERRIBLE
Thats the end. The old real athmosphere, roleplay, music and contain…
Thats over…
That is Amazon 🙁
If the show is good, the trailer certainly isn't. What a mess.
Let me guess, then the main characters will turn out be be lesbians….
Another girl boss. Hollyweird will die on that hill.
They still havent learned.
I am so sick of this gender race swap for the sake of diversity. Nope will not get my money.
Everything they touch turns to shi
Rubbish! The same generic tap, tap, drum, drum faux action music is really annoying. All the trailers for action and sci-fi films use it. The lighting is too bright almost as if they are trying to hide a multitude of special effects sins. It's just as bad as using darkness for the same reason. A female replicant that can take more melee damage than a T800, ridiculous! When will they learn? Can we please have something that is different, quirky, out there, or off the wall, something truly original. Anything to stop the relentless cookie cutter slop.
Remember, this was green-lit four years ago, at the height of DEI hysteria.
Eyeroll @ MIchelle Yeoh, does she really need to be in this
Look, another episode of "let's take a classic movie and put our horrible spin on it." Goodness, come up with your own stories instead of destroying previous generation's masterpieces.
Feels fake and I felt the trailer souless
That blond girl has bigass hands and wide shoulders, tf is going on
First they ruined alien, now this…
Michelle Yeoh in the Blade Runner universe? Count me in
ahh Prime getting ready to desecrate another beloved franchise by demonstrating they did not get the point of it.
Absolutely tragic display.
So it stars a dude that thinks it’s a chick. Not even if you paid me.
Why do they always want to destroy the original? Shakes head their making it weird?
guy?
If it looks like a duck and walks like a duck, it's not Blade Runner. 🖤
no thanks, not interested in another show, it's dumb how they will make 2 seasons then kill the show without giving it an ending. "Raised By Wolfs".
Please stop production.
