The Unboxed manufacturing process might be more important than the car itself. If Tesla can really simplify production this much, could we eventually see the same approach on other Tesla models?
I like the idea of explaining the engineering instead of just listing the Cybercab’s features. But which of these specs do you think will matter most in real-world robotaxi operation?
I’m still skeptical about the whole robotaxi concept. The technology may work, but getting people comfortable with a car having no steering wheel is a completely different challenge.
I actually like the two-seat design. If this is mainly for autonomous rides, why would Tesla need to carry all the extra space and hardware of a normal car?
The Cybercab looks interesting, but I’m still not convinced about how practical the robotaxi experience will be in bad weather. Has Tesla addressed that yet?
The brake-by-wire system is probably one of the things I’d want to know more about. What happens if there’s a failure in the electronic system?
The 293-mile range sounds good on paper, but I’m wondering how much that changes with passengers, highway driving, AC, and cold weather.
One thing I’m curious about is the difference between the Cybercab and a Model 3 with autonomous driving. Is the Cybercab actually more efficient, or is it mainly designed around the robotaxi business model?
If you had to choose, would you actually take a Cybercab by yourself today, or would you still prefer a normal Tesla with a steering wheel? I’m honestly not sure yet.
The 48V architecture caught my attention. Is the main benefit really lower wiring complexity, or does it also have a meaningful impact on production cost?
