Embark on a captivating adventure with Jason and Nikki Wynn as they navigate the serene waters of the River Dart in their latest video, “Hiding From The Wind, Up a River.” This picturesque river, steeped in maritime history—including the tale of the Mayflower—serves as the backdrop for their exploration in an electric tender.

With every twist and turn of the river, they remind us of the joy found in curiosity—one of the driving forces behind their journey since 2011.
Having built their lives around exploration, the Wynns are not just documenting their travels; they are cultivating curiosity. Their journey reflects deep self-reliance, sustainable living, and connection with the people and places they encounter. They navigate whether the battery will last or the tide will turn, diving into thoughtful conversations with locals and embracing the hospitality that fuels their adventures.

Getting chilly up there. Have you decided where you will be spending winter? Ireland? At a marina?
Can’t beat Marks & Spencer’s
What a beautiful Sunday adventure you gave me this morning!!! Thank you Nikki and Jason for taking me (and everyone else) along with you!!!
😂😂😂 Only tourists would do their weeks shop in M&S
I just found your channel, and it’s fun and relevant. As an aluminum boat owner, left me ask you a question. How have you been dealing with the HOT outside surfaces that aluminum boats can have?
If you didn't know that you were in Europe you would think you just riding around water in the States.
I love the charming picturesque river towns. I wonder how much a scond battery would be for that dingy motor. If it was under $ 300, I would invest in the 2nd battery and have more exploration time.
That trip looked very interesting. I had a little anxiety for you that the water would get too shallow and you would be stuck somewhere for several hours. Thankfully that didn’t happen and you got to see some sites along with the “Brutus Stone”. We live near Columbus, OH and our “Brutus” looks a lot different for the Ohio State Buckeyes teams. It’s good to know that he is named after some historical figure, even if that’s just a coincidence.
Groovy episode. Lovely area, so charming.
I’m totally baffled by your, want for a better word interview with Aquaholic.. It implied that there was more to come but all he’s done is posted random videos every day or nearly every day. Is there another half coming? Thanks.
So good. Made me miss England a LOT. Always looking forward to the next adventure / update! 🩵
One feature of Dartmouth is that it has a railway station that has never seen a train. The trains came down the other side of the Dart into Kingswear and a ferry connected to Dartmouth. There is still a preserved steam railway that runs from Paignton to Kingswear.
6 knots is about the worst speed for that boat isn't it? Roughly hull speed, plowing water, least efficient, largest wake possible. No, I have never heard of that ship.
Loving your journey, thanks for bringing us along and educating us along the way💓
Another nice one y’all !👍
Enjoying your England videos from Florida.
My”ancestors” from east coast of England. Never had the chance to cross the pond to visit. Your canal barge videos were amazing too. Enjoy your stay in the UK. Can’t wait to see where you’re going next🛥️🇺🇸
Windwhistle Cottage is an enigmatic 17th-century stone ruin located on a wooded hillside above the River Dart in Totnes, Devon, England
I don't think I have EVER seen such a clean tender. Love the electric motor though. My boat has an onboard diesel and I HATE having to carry gasoline for the tender.
Thanks for the peaceful ride
Great to see our motor taking the Wynns on new adventures!
Fun fact! Even when the battery indicator drops to zero bars, there’s still around 20% capacity in reserve. The motor automatically limits its maximum power to conserve energy, giving you a little extra peace of mind if your trip planning is slightly off. A nice safety net to help get you home!
And while you’re here, check out our new Momentum U2! A mighty little 2.5 kW electric outboard weighing just 37.5 lbs! 😎
What are you going to do in Winter? Boats are a ball 🤩in Summer…. but something wrapped round the prop in Winter isn't fun at all 🥶
Grocery shopping looked a little easier for you compared to when you were sailing in the Pacific.
I have been watching your videos for years and have enjoyed every one. My one and only comment is how do the two of you stay so fit and slim?? I hope the two of you enjoy many more years of good health and wonderful adventures.
great video, thanks for a take us away moment!
