The Rise and Destruction of Derek Poundstone
At only six feet one, Derek Poundstone was built like a professional bodybuilder, moved like a world-class athlete, and became strong enough to beat some of the biggest freaks strongman had ever produced. Žydrūnas Savickas. Mariusz Pudzianowski. Even a young Brian Shaw. In a brutally short career, Derek won some of the biggest titles in the sport, smashed world records and became known as the strongest police officer in the world. But Derek had one terrifying habit. When his body told him to stop, he pushed harder. And eventually, the same mentality that carried him to the top began tearing him apart. This is the devastating story of how one of the strongest men on Earth truly fell.
