Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to visit North Korea for the first time in 24 years, with talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un scheduled for Tuesday. This historic meeting comes amid praise from Putin for North Korea’s support of Moscow’s actions in Ukraine.
The last time the two leaders met was in September at the Vostochny cosmodrome in Russia’s far east, but Putin’s last visit to Pyongyang dates all the way back to 2000. The United States has expressed concerns over the growing relationship between Russia and North Korea.
