In the quest for a perfect smile, some people may be tempted to seek out cheaper alternatives for cosmetic dental procedures such as veneers. However, a recent investigation by Inside Edition has uncovered a disturbing trend – unlicensed individuals posing as dentists and offering veneer procedures for a fraction of the cost.
These unlicensed operators may not have the proper training or qualifications to perform such invasive dental procedures. Instead, they may have only completed a short training course and received a bogus certification. This puts unsuspecting patients at risk of receiving subpar treatment that could potentially harm their oral health.
One such individual, Jay Colombo of Fairfield, New Jersey, was discovered advertising his services online under the moniker “dental daddy.” Despite his charming demeanor, Colombo is not a licensed dentist. Inside Edition producers went undercover to investigate his operations and found that he was offering veneer procedures without the proper credentials.
It is crucial for individuals seeking cosmetic dental procedures to do their due diligence and research the credentials of the dentist performing the procedure. It is not worth risking your oral health and well-being for a cheaper alternative. Always choose a licensed, reputable dentist for any dental treatment to ensure the best possible outcome for your smile.
