Crossing India’s Largest Desert in Our UK Van [S8-E54]

Driving our UK van into India’s largest desert, the Thar Desert, was a challenging yet rewarding experience for us. As we continued our around the world drive west, we found ourselves exploring the remote city of Jaisalmer, which is nestled in the heart of this vast desert landscape.

The Thar Desert is known for its stunning sand dunes, camel safaris, and unique culture. We were able to witness the beauty of the desert as we drove through the sandy terrain, taking in the breathtaking views that surrounded us.

The city of Jaisalmer offers a glimpse into traditional Rajasthani architecture and culture, with its intricately designed havelis and imposing fort overlooking the city. We were able to immerse ourselves in the rich history and vibrant atmosphere of this desert city, making memories that will last a lifetime.
